A fuel injection valve for a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine includes a valve housing which is sealed off from an intake tube of an engine by a seal having a bead and a funnel-shaped cuff embodied on the bead, the projecting edge of which cuff is turned-under radially inward.

Fuel injection valve

A method for producing fuel rails, which contain a hollow chamber that communicates with a fuel source via a connection. The fuel rail supplies fuel to a number of injection valves. At least one preassembled unit of an injection valve is integrated into the fuel rail by means of a materially adhesive connection during the production of the fuel rail and an electrical contacting of the individual injection valves is produced at the same time.

The invention joins the intake module or intake tube to the engine with the aid of a displaceable retaining element. The retaining element, which in the mounted state is under initial tension, is braced against an engine retention face associated with the engine and against at least one counterpart intake module retention face joined to the intake module or intake tube. Because of the displaceability of the retaining element, the expense and effort of mounting and dismantling the intake module or intake tube to the engine by screws are substantially reduced. A device for attaching and securing a valve is particularly suited for fuel-injection systems of mixture-compressing internal combustion engines having externally supplied ignition. The device provides a twistable holding-down clamp which, together with an inner pressure element, prevents a fuel-injection valve from slipping and which, together with an outer fixing ring as a part of a bayonet catch, whose corresponding bayonet locking bars are constructed on the fuel distributor, ensures a simple and reliable attachment to the fuel distributor. The holding-down clamp is sealed by the sealing cap, which is set down on the holding-down clamp and through which the connecting cables also run. The fuel-injection valve does not have any functional elements for attaching in the valve-mount opening of the fuel distributor.

A fuel distributor, including a plug connection which serves to provide electrical contact for the fuel injection valves comprising a socket and a plug. The plug connection that is located directly on the valve connection neck, in a region between two sealing elements, that seal off a connection between the fuel distributor and the fuel injection valve, so that the fuel-carrying region is sealed off from the guide conduit, which in turn is sealed off from external influences such as splashing water. Thus, even the plug connections located in the region of the guide conduit are protected. The fuel distributor is especially suitable for fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing internal combustion engines with externally supplied ignition.
