A method, device, and computer program product for capturing projection images of an object are provided. An x-ray beam source is moved by a control unit on a path into a plurality of positions, in which an x-ray beam is transmitted. An x-ray beam detector is moved by the control unit into a plurality of positions, in which the x-ray beam, penetrating the object, is detected. The x-ray beam source and/or the x-ray beam detector are moved on a calculated path around the object, at a constant distance between the x-ray beam source and the x-ray beam detector or the object. The path is described by an nth degree polynomial and determined by the control unit through an optimization of a path along the central x-ray beam. The polynomial is selected such that a safety clearance with respect to the object is maintained and a distance between the x-ray beam detector and the object is minimized.

The present invention relates to an X-ray system and method for generating 3D image data. The X-ray system comprises a radiation detector, a movable X-ray tube assembly and a control unit, wherein in a working state of the system the radiation detector is detachably positioned in a spatially fixed manner and the X-ray tube assembly can be moved into relative positions relative to the radiation detector. Projection images recorded in the relative positions can be processed together with the coordinates of the relative positions using an iterative reconstruction technique or other image processing methods so as to obtain 3D X-ray images. The X-ray tube assembly is attached to a motor-driven movable stand arm and can be displaced using a control unit. The stand base of the movable stand can be positioned in a spatially fixed manner, so that it has a defined fixed position relative to the radiation detector.

A multi-functional transport system is disclosed having a plurality of mobile transport units, which each have a coupling device in a front and a rear region. In this manner the transport units can be coupled to each other and/or to a lead vehicle. In one configuration, the individual transport units equipped with drives follow the lead vehicle defining the path in a directionally stable manner by an independent path control system. The transport units themselves can also be removed or decoupled from the transport system as independent units. At least one handle, in addition to the couplings, can be used by an operator when in the decoupled state, so that the mailings to be transported can remain on the transport unit until delivery without manual transferring or transporting. This manual guiding of the individual transport unit takes place in a virtually force-free manner.

A method and apparatus for topographic surface analysis including at least ne light source for radiating light, a first light-distributing surface of a first diffraction grating for receiving light from the at least one light source and for reflecting a first bundle of light under normal optical conditions and a second bundle of light formed by diffraction of the first order. A first optical stage is provided for projecting the first and second bundles from the first light-distributing surface in an optically conjugated form onto an object surface to be analyzed of a sample. Light representing the object surface is sharply projected via the first optical stage onto a second light-distributing surface of a second diffraction grating. A second optical stage projects diffracted bundles of light from the second light-distributing surface onto a detector which detects radiation and enables topographic analysis of the object surface.
