Provided is a control unit for a converter, in particular of a wind power installation and/or of a wind farm, comprising: an input for receiving a detected voltage and/or a detected current, an input for receiving a voltage set point and/or a current set point, an input for receiving a correction value and a feedback control system which is set up, depending on the detected voltage and/or the detected current and the voltage set point and/or the current set point and the correction value, to produce a reactive power set point for a modulated, preferably amplitude-modulated reactive and/or active power of the converter.

Oscillation damping in wind power installations

A method for feeding electrical power into a grid at a grid connection point using a wind farm having installations connected to the point using transmission lines. The farm controller transmits active and reactive power specifications to the installations. A first power range is respectively specified at each installation and spans a range of values for active and reactive power to be fed in. The first power range has an active power limit to be complied with by the installation and a reactive power limit which can be reached by the installation and a second power range is specified at the grid connection point and spans a range of values for active and reactive power to be fed in. At least one installation respectively exceeds the active power limit, and the second power range is complied with by the wind farm at the grid connection point.

Method for feeding in electrical power using a wind farm

A method for exchanging or feeding electric power into an electricity supply grid that has a grid frequency using a converter-controlled generator at a grid connection point is provided. The method includes feeding in electric power depending on a control function, where the electric power may comprise active and reactive power, and the control function controls the power depending on at least one state variable of the grid. It is possible to select between a normal control function and a support control function, different from the normal control function, as the control function. The normal control function is selected when it has been detected that the grid is operating stably and the support control function is selected when a grid problem, grid fault or an end of the grid fault has been detected. The support control function controls the fed-in power to counteract an oscillation in the grid.

Method for feeding electrical power into an electrical supply network

Provided is a method for feeding electrical power into an electrical supply grid having a grid voltage by a wind power installation. The installation comprises a generator for generating a generator current, an active rectifier for rectifying the generator current into a rectified current, a direct voltage intermediate circuit having an intermediate circuit voltage for receiving the rectified current, a chopper circuit for diverting excess energy out of the direct voltage intermediate circuit, and an inverter for generating an infeed current for feeding into the electrical supply grid. The feed takes place in a voltage-impressing manner, so that the inverter counteracts a deviation of the grid voltage from a voltage setpoint value through an adjustment of the fed current. The active rectifier has a lower current limit to limit a fall of the rectified current to protect the generator during a change of the grid voltage amplitude or phase.

Method for the voltage-impressing feed of electrical power into an electrical supply grid by means of a wind power installation

Provided is a method for exchanging electric power with an electricity supply grid that has a grid frequency using a converter-controlled generation unit that may be a wind power installation or a wind farm, at a grid connection point. The method includes exchanging electric power depending on a control function. The electric power includes active and reactive power and the control function controls the power depending on at least one state variable of the electricity supply grid. It is possible to switch between a normal control function and a support control function, different from the normal control function, as the control function. The normal control function is used when it has been recognized that the electricity supply grid is operating stably and the support control function is used when a grid fault or an end of the grid fault has been recognized.

A method for operating a wind power installation which is connected to a network connection point of an electrical supply network and is intended to produce and feed electrical energy into the electrical supply network, wherein the electrical supply network has a network nominal frequency and is operated at a network frequency, and the wind power installation which comprises an electrical generator with a generator nominal power can be regulated on the basis of the network frequency, comprising the steps of: using the electrical generator to produce an electrical generator power for feeding into the electrical supply network, feeding the electrical generator power or a part of it into the electrical supply network as electrical feed-in power on the basis of the network frequency, wherein, in a first supporting stage, the electrical generator power is reduced on the basis of the network frequency in order to accordingly reduce the electrical feed-in power, and, in a second supporting stage, the electrical feed-in power is reduced such that the electrical feed-in power is less than the electrical generator power.
