A vehicle includes a battery pack having siderails and includes a front cradle having rearwardly extending arms connected to the siderails and a cross member longitudinally spaced from the battery pack. A brace has a midportion connected to the cross member and ends connected to the arms such that the brace creates load paths between the cross member and the siderails to inhibit impact between the cross member and the battery pack.

A floor mat is provided for a motor vehicle. The floor mat includes a debris pan and a debris retaining wall encompassing the debris pan. In addition, the floor mat includes an integral heel blocker within the debris retaining wall that is adapted to protect the feet, heels and lower legs of an operator of a motor vehicle in the event of a frontal collision.

A vehicle includes a floor structure and one or more tubular rocker structures. Each rocker structure includes an outer cladding and/or an inner structure extending across an interior space of the rocker structure. At least one acceleration sensor is connected to a central portion of the floor structure to detect acceleration resulting from a crash event. The vehicle may also include pressure sensors that detect changes in pressure in the door cavities that result from side impacts. The cladding and/or inner structure of the rockers reduce the time required to detect acceleration due to a side impact on the rocker structures.

A vehicle door glass blocker assembly including a blocking bracket securable to a vehicle door frame panel, and a blocking edge integrally formed with the blocking bracket, being substantially normal to a vertical edge of a vehicle window, and being capable of at least partially shattering the vehicle window when the window impacts the blocking edge during a vehicle crash event. A blocking protrusion may be coupled to the blocking bracket, be longitudinally disposable between the vehicle window and a vehicle door latch mechanism, and be capable of at least partially preventing transverse displacement of the vehicle window. A support bracket may be secured to the blocking bracket, and a glass run extrusion may be secured to the support bracket, be adapted to accept a vertical edge of the vehicle window, and be capable of reducing vibrations in the vehicle window.
