The invention relates to a filter element () comprising a drainage element () which is arranged between two filter membranes (). According to the invention, said drainage element () is made of a non-woven filtering material which is arranged in a laminated manner between the filter membranes () respectively by means of an adhesive non-woven material (). The invention also relates to a method for producing a filter element (), a drainage element () made from a non-woven filtering material being laminated between two filter membranes (). An adhesive non-woven material () is arranged between the drainage element () and each filter membrane (), then lamination takes place due to the thermal effect under pressure.

Filter element and method for the production thereof

A filter element for cleaning liquids, having a stack of at least two filter membrane pockets, which are substantially flat and include a flexible, liquid-permeable filter material for retaining waste particles and/or microbes, wherein each filter membrane pocket has a substantially polygonal shape with at least three corners and a corresponding number of edges, wherein the filter membrane pockets are stacked with a defined distance and aligned with each other, wherein aligned corners of the filter membrane pockets are embedded in a casting covering only part of the adjacent edges such that the casting for each corner is spaced from the castings of the neighboring corners.
