When acquiring detailed utilization information from imaging equipment in a cross-vendor approach, one or more sensors () are positioned within a data security zone () in which an imaging procedure is performed. Sensor data is pre-processed on an isolated processing unit () to remove any sensitive information and keep a selection of features only. The resultant feature pattern is transmitted outside of the data security zone to a processing unit () where pattern recognition is performed on feature pattern to identify the type of imaging modality, scan, etc. being performed as well as to determine whether the scan is being performed according to schedule.

Cross-vendor cross-modality imaging workflow analysis

To obtain feedback on image quality from qualified reviewers, an optically machine readable code () (e.g., a QR code or the like) is generated for each acquired medical image and embedded into the image. The embedded code includes information to the identity of the image, the imaging device, authorized reviewers, and authorized recipients of the feedback, as well as a link to a feedback form that can be retrieved by a communication device () used by an authorized user. When the embedded code is scanned by the communication device, the code is decoded and the feedback form is retrieved from a server, completed by the reviewer, and transmitted back to the authorized recipients of the feedback.

Quality feedback system for medical images

The present disclosure relates to a method for configuring a medical device. The method comprises: providing a set of one or more parameters for configuring the medical device. Each parameter of the set has predefined values. A set of values of the set of parameters may be selected from the predefined values. Using the selected values the set of parameters may be set, which results in an operational configuration of the medical device. The medical device may be controlled to operate in accordance with the operational configuration, thereby an operating status of the medical device may be determined. Based on at least the operating status the operational configuration may be maintained or the selecting, setting and controlling may be repeatedly performed until a desired operating status of the medical device can be determined based on the operating statuses resulting from the controlling.

Method for configuring a medical device

The invention relates to a navigation system for navigating an interventional device () like a catheter and an interventional system comprising the navigation system. A position and shape determining unit () determines and stores a first position and shape of the interventional device within a living being () during a first interventional procedure like a first chemoembolization session and determines a second position and shape of an interventional device within the living being during a subsequent second interventional procedure like a second chemoembolization session. During the second interventional procedure the interventional device is navigated based on the stored first position and shape and based on the second position and shape. This allows considering during the second interventional procedure the path of the interventional device used during the first interventional procedure. In particular, this allows navigating the interventional device along the same path during the first and second interventional procedures.

A medical imaging system for acquiring medical image data from an imaging zone. The medical imaging system includes a memory for storing machine executable instructions and medical imaging system commands. The medical imaging system further includes a user interface and a processor. The invention relates to an apparatus configured to display an aortic valve image and an indicator when the aortic valve is in its open-state and/or when the valve is in its closed-state. The indicator is supposed to be in an overlay to the image of the aortic valve, such that a physician can see on the same display image the information needed to advance a guide wire or catheter through the aortic valve of a heart. This may prevent damaging ensures not to damage the aortic valve. The physician receives the relevant information, when the aortic valve is in its open-state and thus being in a state to be passed by the catheter. The information, whether the aortic valve is in its open-state or in its closed-state, corresponds to the systolic phase and the distal phase of the heart, respectively.
