The present disclosure relates to a nozzle body for a fuel injection valve, the nozzle body including a cavity and an injection channel for dispensing fuel from the cavity. The injection channel includes a first section and a second section downstream of the first section, the first and second sections having a common interface. The first section extends from a fuel inlet opening to a second opening disposed at the common interface. The cross-sectional area of the first section monotonically decreases from the fuel inlet opening to the common interface. The cross-sectional area of the second section monotonically increases from the common interface to the fuel outlet opening.

An injection system for injecting fuel has an actuator, a pilot valve with a valve mushroom, and a supply throttle. Injection system, and method for the production of an injection system

A method for producing a hole in a body, especially an injection hole in a fuel injector is disclosed. The hole (L) is first produced by a percussion boring process or a trepanation boring process using a laser. The percussion boring process lasts less than 3 seconds. The trepanation boring process lasts less than 10 seconds. After percussion boring or trepanation boring a smoothing step is carried out by forcing a medium that is mixed with abrasive particles under pressure through the hole until any roughnesses of surfaces (F) of the body that form the hole (L) are substantially removed.

Method for producing a hole in a body, specifically an injection hole in a fuel injector

An injection device for injecting fuel comprises a nozzle needle (), which is arranged in a nozzle body (), and a micro-bore () formed in the nozzle body (), in which at least one injection hole () is configured. Located between the frustoconical needle tip and the cylindrical needle shank of a nozzle needle of a fuel injection valve is a frustoconical needle portion, into which is introduced a peripheral groove. Through this kind of arrangement damping is capable of being set, depending on the position of the groove, during the axial movement of the nozzle needle.

Fuel injection valve for an internal combustion engine

In a nozzle body, a degree of rounding of edges of an entry region of an injection hole duct in the nozzle body is dependent on a distribution of a fuel stream around the entry region. The edges being more rounded, the greater the fuel stream at the respective edge portion is. The entry region of the injection hole duct has, in this case, preferably the form of an ellipse.
