A buckle plate device for a folding machine comprises a buckle plate () and a sheet stopping means for stopping a sheet () running into the buckle plate () in the intake direction, wherein the sheet stopping means is formed by a clamping means () which clamps the incoming sheet () in order to stop it and preferably automatically releases the clamping at the onset of tractive forces of the subsequent rollers. Hereby a buckle plate device is provided which requires little space and makes it possible to fold sheets with comparably low noise development without a mechanical stop in a sheet-edge controlled manner or in a print-image controlled manner at a high sheet transport speed.

The folding machine has a cross fold module which includes a cross-fold folding blade (), a sheet-supporting device () which is arranged below the cross-fold folding blade () and on which an incoming sheet comes to rest, and a roller frame () which is arranged below the sheet-supporting device () and into which a sheet is introduced by the cross-fold folding blade (). A three-fold module () with a three-fold folding blade () arranged perpendicularly with respect to the cross-fold folding blade () is arranged downstream of the roller frame (). The three-fold module () and the roller frame () are arranged on a rotary stand () which is rotatable through at least 180 about a vertical axis ().

A method and a device for further processing of sheets to produce multi-page printed products, several initial sheets () are each folded into a folded sheet () and subsequently collated one on top of the other such that the fold areas lie at the top and the folded sheets () open downwardly. A grooved line () is formed in each initial sheet () before folding, around which grooved line () the initial sheet () is subsequently folded, the depth and the width of the grooved line () being increased, initial sheet () by initial sheet (), by a predetermined amount.

A buckle folding machine () includes an operator facing side wall () and a side wall () remote from an operator, the side walls () being arranged at a distance from each other and at least one lower folding pocket () being arranged between the side walls (). The lower folding pocket () is guided in a cassette () for displacement from an operating position, in which it adjoins folding rolls (), into a release position, in which it is located at a distance from the folding rolls (), wherein the lower folding pocket () is located outside of a coverage of the operator facing side wall () when in the release position, and wherein the cassette () is guided such that it can be displaced, perpendicular to the operator facing side wall (), from an inserted position, in which the lower folding pocket () is located within the buckle folding machine (), into a withdrawn position, in which the lower folding pocket () is located outside the buckle folding machine ().

The holding-down arrangement for holding down a sheet () in a sheet-bearing region of a sheet-processing machine, in particular of a folding machine, includes a plurality of blowing devices () which, during use, are directed toward a sheet () and direct an air jet () onto the sheet (). The holding-down arrangement may be fitted in a sheet-aligning device which is arranged downstream of a sheet infeed and includes a sheet-bearing device (), on which an incoming sheet () comes to rest.

An apparatus for inserting packaged material into packaging means is described. In the region of an insertion device and a preinsertion device, a packaged-material conveyor device and a packaging-means conveyor device are provided. The insertion device has at least one insertion tappet, and the preinsertion device has a covering tongue corresponding to the insertion tappet. The insertion tappets and covering tongue can be guided essentially transversely to a direction of motion of the conveyor devices, which motions can each be generated by means of a respective servomotor drive mechanism, coupled to the insertion tappet and to the covering tongue. The insertion device and the preinsertion device are adjustable in oscillating fashion parallel to the direction of motion of the conveyor devices via a further servomotor drive mechanism coupled to them, and the drive mechanisms are triggerable separately via a drive control mechanism.

The folding machine includes at least one pair of knife shafts, the knife shafts () of which are, in a working position, mounted parallel to each other between two spaced-apart side walls () of the folding machine (). In order, in parallel with the production process, to be able to prepare knife shafts for a subsequent production process, the knife shafts () are mounted in a cassette () which can be displaced through a sidewall () facing the operator from an inserted position, in which the knife shafts () are in their working position, into a pull-out position, in which the knife shafts () are outside the folding machine ().

In the case of the method of setting the folding-nip width of a plurality of pairs of folding rollers which are provided on a folding machine, the two folding rollers ( to ) of the pairs of folding rollers are brought into contact with one another. A sheet is then guided through between the two folding rollers ( to ) of the pairs of folding rollers, as a result of which at least one of the two folding rollers ( to ) moves in relation to the other, with a folding nip being formed in the process, it being the case that, for each pair of folding rollers, a measured value corresponding to the folding-nip width is detected as the sheet is guided through. Finally, the folding-nip widths of the individual pairs of folding rollers are set by adjustment of the at least one moveable folding roller ( to ) by means of a drive ( ), which is connected kinematically thereto, based on the corresponding measured values which have been detected.

An apparatus for removing folding box blanks from a folding box magazine and transferring them to between drivers of a conveyor system has a suction rotor with suction cups. The suction rotor is coupled to a four-bar mechanism, which erects the folding box blank along a stationary erecting shunt. By the engagement of the suction cups with a trailing side wall of the folding box blank, which wall stands vertically with reference to the feeding direction, and because of the disposition of the erecting shunt, a high output can be attained with the conveyor system driven incrementally, and folding box blanks can be processed whose front lower edge, in terms of the feeding direction, is located frontmost in the folding box magazine.

Device for inserting objects, especially blister strips, into folded boxes

A housing for a packaging machine. The housing has guides for at least one protective plate disposed in side walls of the housing. The at least one protective plate is supported in the guides by rollers. It is essential that the protective plate can be moved in the guides in such a way that the protective plate is possible to freely access a region disposed inside the housing, the opening of the housing does not require any additional floor space for the packaging machine.

A conveyor device for erected collapsible box. The conveyor device has a number of conveyor chains with drive ribs for the collapsible boxes. The conveyor chains are made up of chain links that are connected to one another in an articulating relationship. The chain links have guide pins that are guided in an upper and lower guide rail. The conveyor device is made to embody the deflecting regions of the conveyor chains so that the conveyor chains are free of guide elements. This is achieved by a particular disposition of the guide pins and the guide rails. The conveyor device has a particularly simple design and is also suited for small collapsible box formats.
