A lighting unit for a passenger motor vehicle is disclosed. The lighting unit includes a housing having a lens fastened to the housing and having a sealing element supported on the housing which has a receiver to support a bumper of the passenger motor vehicle. The sealing element is fastened to the housing by a support element fastened to the housing.

An arrangement for adjusting the reflector inclination angle of front headlights of a motor vehicle which contains an adjusting screw for the reflector provided with a teeth and a guide for a Phillips screwdriver which is used as an adjustment tool transversely with respect to the screw axis. In order to, on the one hand, achieve a simple mounting which can be automated and is secured with respect to a loss and to achieve, on the other hand, in a simple manner a secure guide of the Phillips screwdriver without any jamming, for adjusting the reflector, the toothing is molded onto the adjusting screw. The adjusting screw, on the head-side section, together with the molded-on teeth must have a smaller diameter than that of the shell passage provided for the adjusting screw. Furthermore, in order to axially fix the adjusting screw, detent elements must be provided which are molded to the shell for locking engagement with the screw. The guide is formed by a supporting web shaped out of the shell on the exterior side and with a distance to the adjusting screw. The supporting web has an insertion opening for the Phillips screwdriver which is oriented transversely to the screw axis and is situated at the axial side of the toothing.

A headlight has a housing and a reflector arranged in the housing adjustably by an adjusting screw. An indicating device controls the setting of the reflector and has a movable indicating part which follows turning of the adjusting screw and a substantially stationary indicating part arranged outside of the housing. The substantially stationary indicating part is arranged on a guide so that it is difficult to displace. In other words, the substantially stationary indicating part can be displaced to assume a base setting and in its set position is fixed. However, during travels of the vehicle, it no longer displaces on the guide under the action of vibrations and other influences. The ability of the substantially stationary indicating part to be difficult to displace can be provided for example by arranging of the substantially stationary indicating part on the guide with a slight press fit.

A headlight for a power vehicle, comprises a housing mountable on a body of a vehicle, a frame which supports a reflector and is arranged in the housing, the frame being turnable in a horizontal and a vertical direction, a unit for turning the frame in the horizontal and the vertical direction and including a rotary part axially secured in the housing, a turning part articulately connectable with the reflector, and a deflecting mechanism which couples the parts with one another, the deflecting mechanism including a cable shaft and an angular transmission.
