One embodiment includes extracting samples of language usage in one or more social media activities. Language usage features comprising relationships to products are derived by analyzing the extracted samples for relevant language terms. The language usage features are mapped to one or more of personality traits, emotional state and personal features. The mapped language usage features and personal features are stored in a repository. Customers are segmented for direct marketing using the mapped language usage features and the personal features.

A method for assisting an administrator to identify files suspected of causing instability on a personal computer comprises periodically creating file content sharing logs concurrently with archiving files of a plurality of personal computers by de-duplicating, when a notification is received regarding instability of a personal computer, then analyzing archive file content sharing log of the personal computer made immediately after receiving the notification for unique system and program files, missing files and newly installed files to generate an instability report. A missing or corrupted file can be restored back on the unstable personal computer by performing a backup restore operation on the unstable personal computer.

A method for automating variables in an end-user programming system is disclosed. The end-user programming system comprises a script, a shared repository, at least one database, a recorder, an interpreter, and an execution engine. The interpreter automatically creates a variable for a data value in a command by comparing the data value with each entry value in the entry set for the user recording the command.
