Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to simulation, generally, and in some embodiments, more specifically to simulating a flight path of a golf ball. In such embodiments, a computer may be adapted to determine a first trajectory of the golf ball based on one linear expression; determine variations based on a flight path of the golf ball according to a first plane and a second plane, the first plane and second plane having orthogonality; adjust the first trajectory based on the variations; and provide a virtual golf ball with a virtual flight path based on the adjusted trajectory.

System, method and apparatus for golf simulation

An instrumented therapy cord including a load cell transducer, a resistive stretch cord and a microprocessor control module having internal memory capacity and programming means for assessing, monitoring and controlling rehabilitation treatment programs. Operably attached to a handle member and preferably incorporated within a housing unit, the microprocessor control module interfaces with the load cell transducer. A first end of the resistive therapy stretch cord is operably coupled to the load cell transducer by a permanent or quick-release coupling means. A second end of the resistive therapy cord is removably connected to a second handle or stationary body. The operable connection between the resistive therapy cord and the load cell transducer interfacing with the microprocessor provides means for processing and displaying direct measure and description of force peak and average loads, number of load repetitions, load profiles and frequencies of cord tension applied to the resistive therapy stretch cord by a user. The microprocessor control module includes means for providing auditory and visual feedback for use in a biofeedback mode to control and monitor force applications applied to the body system being conditioned. The internal memory of the microprocessor control module processes and stores biofeedback generated by the load cell transducer for analysis and utilization in therapy evaluation and planning to eliminate mere subjective evaluation of patient rehabilitation performance.

Apparatus for measuring relative movement between two points which represents relative movement between two items or between two parts of the same item includes a radiation source such as a light source which generates three orthogonal light beams appearing to originate at a common point, said common point constituting one of the two points, and the light source being secured to one of the items or parts of an item. A radiation sensor capable of detecting in three two-dimensional sensing planes the position of each of the three orthogonal radiation beams, such as three light sensing arrays arranged in three orthogonal planes, each of the three orthogonal sensing planes intersecting at an origin point which constitutes the other of the two points is secured to the other item or part of an item. A calculation unit such as a microprocessor is provided for calculating the relative position of the two points at any particular time from the determined positions of the three radiation beams striking the sensing means at that time and may also be programmed to relate the relative position of the two points and changes in such relative position to the relative position and changes of the two items or parts of an item to which the radiation source and sensor are secured. The movement between the two points, the two items, or parts of the same time is determined by calculating the difference in positions between two measured relative positions.
