Water and space saving bathroom components especially useful for a comfort station. Included are a novel toilet having a cistern with a sink in combination with the toilet, a novel waterless urinal and a hand sanitizer dispensing station. The sink is an integrally formed sink into the top of the cistern and has a drain formed into the sink for draining effluent from the sink into the toilet cistern. A faucet is installed in the surface of the sink to provide a clean water source for hand washing and the like that generates grey water after washing. The waterless urinal can be plumbed and mounted to a comfort station wall or on a mobile stand, while the hand sanitizer dispensing station may be adapted for multiple dispensers. The dispensers may be mounted at different heights to accommodate adults, children and disabled persons in wheelchairs.

Space saving bathroom components

A relocatable, easily movable worksite sanitation system that is a combination decontamination station and lavatory with two separate rooms suitable for complying with ADA and safety regulations that is continuously automatically electrically checked and verified to be in proper working order. The sanitation system has a water source and a power source, and the sanitation system includes an improved flush-type lavatory comprising at least a toilet and a sink with a lavatory water supply line providing water to said toilet and said sink. Both the lavatory and the decontamination rooms include an electrical system with a switch for turning the electrical system on and off. The decontamination station has at least an eye wash station and a shower with a decontamination water supply line providing water to said eye wash station and to said shower. The self-checking power system is included in the decontamination station electrical system with a decontamination station switch having an on position, wherein said on position provides power to said decontamination station electrical system. Further, a valve is adapted to receive water from said water source that actuates the decontamination station switch between providing water to said lavatory water supply line and said decontamination water supply line. The valve provides water to the decontamination water supply line when the decontamination station switch is in its 'on' position.

Relocatable decontamination station and lavatory

A portable washroom for providing both washing and toilet facilities. The washroom is an enclosure that includes a base, upright supports mounted to the base, wall panels mounted between the upright supports, and a roof mounted to the top of the wall panels. An upward flushing toilet is mounted within the enclosure. The toilet has a waste line extending through one of the wall panels, and out of the enclosure so that waste from the flush toilet and wash basin is flushed outside of the enclosure. A wash basin is mounted within the enclosure and includes a drain line that connects to the toilet bowl waste line. A fresh water supply line extends through one of the wall panels of the enclosure and is fluidically connected to the toilet and to the wash basin for supplying fresh water thereto.

Modular portable comfort station

A method for removing pharmaceutical agents from human wastes. Such pharmaceuticals may include their metabolized byproducts, either or both of which may be harmful as a toxin or a carcinogen. The method generally includes the use of a portable human waste containment unit which is configured to serve as a toilet for an individual who has been treated with a pharmaceutical agent. The waste containment unit is preferably configured as a self-contained unit with a separate removable reservoir or plastic reservoir liner, such that it is capable of being sealed for transporting to a facility where human wastes contained within the waste containment unit or its separate reservoir or liner can be appropriately processed. An outer, upper surface of the waste containment unit forms a seat equipped with a cover for sealing the waste containment unit. The waste containment unit includes a reservoir whose capacity is preferably sufficient to hold human waste produced over approximately a period in which pharmaceuticals and their metabolized byproducts are typically eliminated from the body of an individual. The waste containment unit will be of different configurations to fit the patients' needs in the hospital, in the home, and for use while the patient is mobile and being treated as an outpatient. The purpose of the different types of waste containment units is to interdict the pharmaceuticals before they enter the eco-system through a municipal sewage system or a septic tank system.

Method and device for the disposal, recovery and recycling of pharmaceuticals from human wastes

The invention relates to disinfectant urinal block means useful for collection of pooled urine and method of using the block means to provide in service release, of an antimicrobial agent component from the block means into the pool for effective inhibition of bacterial growth and consequent enzymatic degradation of wanted proteins contained in the pool.

Antimicrobial disinfecting urinal block means and methods of use

The invention relates to a device useful when installed in a urinal for collection of urinary proteins. The adsorbent means includes a conduit for gravity feed passage of urine streams. The conduit has permeable layers in series containing a slow releasing antimicrobial agent and an adsorbent for urinary proteins such that for collection puropses wanted proteins are adsorbed without odor or loss due to bacterial degradation.

Device for collection of proteins in a urinal and method of use

A shelter adapted for use as a portable toilet having a plurality of upstanding planar wall panels connected along adjacent vertical sides by flexible sheet hinge members. The wall panels, foldably collapsible for ease of shipment, are combined with a removable roof, base member and commode to form a complete portable toilet shelter which may be quickly assembled on site. A number of flexible straps may be positioned underneath the base member and releasably secured to opposing wall members of the shelter in order to secure the base member to the wall unit and increase the stability of the shelter.

Collapsible toilet shelter

A shelter specially adapted to function as a portable toilet is disclosed being collapsible for ease of shipment. Inefficiencies of shipping fully assembled portable toilet shelters are eliminated by a modular construction shelter having foldable walls, a removable roof, base member and commode.

Pharmaceutically useful trace elements contained in human urine are collected by disposing a filter body containing an adsorbent for the trace elements in the gravity flow line connecting the unflushed urinal of a portable toilet to its holding tank. The portable toilet also includes a seat connected to the holding tank by a separate gravity feed line. The holding tank contains an odor reducing chemical solution for the urine and fesces. A filter body supported in the conduit between the urinal and the holding tank consists of an adsorbent for the trace constituents of the urine that it is desired to extract. Urine voided into the urinal passes through the adsorbent filter body before going to the holding tank. When the holding tank of the portable toilet is pumped clean and the deoderizing solution replaced, the filter body is removed and processed to extract the trace constituents replaced with an unsaturated filter body.
