A HVAC system () includes a housing () with at least one first inlet () and at least one second inlet () formed thereon, at least one first door (), at least one second door () and an intermediate door (). The first inlet () and the second inlet () is for ingress of a first fluid stream and a second fluid stream inside the housing (). The first door () and the second door () moves with respect to the first inlet () and the second inlet () respectively to define an open configuration, a closed configuration and a partially open configuration thereof. The intermediate door () is disposed between the first inlet () and the second inlet () and moves between a deployed and an un-deployed configuration to respectively disrupt and allow fluid flow there across. The intermediate door () is a sliding door.

Heating ventilation and air-conditioning system with an intermediate door

A split heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) assembly for a motor vehicle is disclosed. The split HVAC includes a first sub-assembly comprising an evaporator and a first airflow space, a second sub-assembly comprising a second airflow space, a single sealing element located between a wall and one of the first sub-assembly or the second-sub-assembly, and a first interfacing element that directly connects the first sub-assembly and the second sub-assembly. The single sealing element and the first interfacing element prevent any airflow leakage from both the first sub-assembly and the second sub-assembly, and one of the first sub-assembly and the second sub-assembly extends partially into the other of the first sub-assembly and the second sub-assembly.

Split heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) assembly

An HVAC air inlet housing for a vehicle includes an air inlet housing having a top portion and a bottom portion. A fresh air duct, to convey fresh air from an air inlet to a blower, is defined by the air inlet housing. A water inlet port, to connect to an evaporator drain port via a hose, is defined in the bottom portion. The hose is to convey water from the evaporator drain port to the water inlet port. A water tunnel is defined by the air inlet housing to convey water from the water inlet port to a sluice defined in the bottom portion. The sluice is to convey water from the water tunnel to a sump defined in the bottom portion. A sump drain port is defined in the air inlet housing bottom portion in fluid communication with the sump to drain water from the sump.

A sensor assembly includes a housing, a blower fixed relative to the housing, an air tunnel, a filter, a first drain, and a second drain. The air tunnel includes an inlet, a first turn, a second turn, a first portion extending upward from the inlet to the first turn, a second portion extending downward from the first turn to the second turn, and a third portion extending from the second turn to the blower. The filter is positioned between the first portion and the first turn. The first drain extends through the first portion. The second drain extends through the third portion.

Moisture control for sensor assembly

A fluid flow controller includes a housing defining a first and a second fluid path. A first door is in the first fluid path to selectably control a first flow through the first fluid path in response to a rotation of a first lever. A second door is in the second fluid path to selectably control a second flow through the second fluid path in response to a rotation of a second lever. A flexible kinematic link is to connect an actuator arm rotatable about an actuator arm axis to the first lever via first pin joints for rotation of the first door about the first pivot axis. A flexible link length is responsive to a compressive and a tensile load. A rigid link is to connect the actuator arm to the second lever via second pin joints for rotation of the second door about the second pivot axis.

Fluid flow controller

The present invention relates to arrangement of devices, and, in particular doors, in the architecture of HVAC units. Where space is a consideration, having doors that are common and/or that can be used or nested in a common operative space, reduce the need of inventory of different parts, and allow for use of smaller interior HVAC space volumes in HVAC units.

Common HVAC doors

A distributor box for a heating, ventilating and/or air conditioning apparatus for a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle, comprises an air inlet for admitting a heated airflow and/or a cold airflow into the distributor box therethrough, a plurality of air outlets for leading the airflow to different zones of the passenger compartment, and at least one distributor valve pivotally mounted within the distributor box for pivoting movement between a plurality of positions whereby to distribute said airflow between the plurality of outlets. The distributor valve is provided with vane members on at least one face surface thereof for guiding the airflow from the air inlet toward at least one of the air outlets. The vane member is integrally formed on the distributor valve.
