A surgery table utilizing a frame member which is supported on a ground surface, A platform is connected to the frame member and includes a laterally movable portion which supports a patient. The table also includes a torso support which is connected to and moves with the laterally movable portion of the platform. A leg support rotates relative to the platform and connects to a hip support which holds the patient's hip during such rotation.

Spinal surgery table

A shield for a syringe mounted hypodermic needle which utilizes a translucent sheath. The sheath extends over the barrel to one position adjacent the barrel flange and to another position or beyond the needle point. The sheath may be distinctly stopped at these positions.

A pistol grip, bone drill with a lever lock for convenient locking of the drill chuck for manipulation of the chuck jaws, particularly for facilitating advances of the drill bit, the bone drill having a contoured pistol grip handle with a hand crank for rotating an elongated drill barrel by a conventional bevel gear mechanism, the drill barrel having an end chuck with a connected revolver cylinder having engagement holes for receiving a locking pin displaced by the lever lock.

An adapter and valve kit for replacement of a conventional anesthetic mask fitting, the adapter connecting to the anesthetic supply orifice of the mask and providing a quick disconnect coupler to a valve fitting, the valve fitting having a spring loaded poppet valve activated by a plunger which contacts and is displaced by the adapter on connection to the valve fitting whereby the poppet valve is open on connection to the adapter and closed on separation from the adapter.

A lower extremity splint for use with a conventional traction apparatus to achieve a balanced single point suspension and traction of the lower extremity of a user, the lower extremity splint having a sling supported by a skeletal frame structure conforming to the outer periphery of the user's lower extremity, the frame structure being formed by two substantially parallel articulated primary members arrangeable on each side of the user's lower extremity, the primary members each having an articulation joint substantially centrally located, dividing each primary member into an upper thigh segment and a lower leg segment, the primary members being interconnected by a cross member between the distal end of the lower leg segment, a bridge member between the proximal end of the upper thigh segment and a bridge member between the articulation joint, wherein the splint is independently suspended from the traction apparatus.
