Method for incorporating high levels of emollient oils into bodywash

A personal care cleansing composition having enhanced perceptible skin benefits, for example, by selecting certain ratios of quaternary ammonium compounds and free fatty acids. Additionally, in accordance with various aspects of the present invention, the present inventors have discovered that the addition of talc in varying percentages increases qualities to the user such as freshness, smoothness, lather and creaminess. Additionally, aspects relating to fragrance retention, deposition and the amounts perceived are improved.

Personal cleansing bar with free fatty acid and quaternary surfactant synergism

A liquid hand cleansing composition which has the ability to remove stubborn soils such as ink, grease, paint and the like. The composition is also able to hold water insoluble particles in suspension without separation or sedimentation because of cooperation between a special suspension system and a surfactant system. Additionally, the composition remains homogenous and viscosity stabilized even in the presence of relatively large quantities of solvent such as d-limonene.

Heavy duty hand cleaner

A personal cleansing composition in solid or bar form which is mild to the skin and very effective in removing dirt and grime from the body, particularly the hands. Importantly, such soap bars do not have a noticeable abrasive feel when in contact with the skin. Another feature is that the bar exhibits a so called 'drag effect' when the soap bar is used for washing.

Mild cleansing soap bars

A method for reducing malodors in hydrotropes, such as alkyl aryl sulfonates, is provided that reduces and/or eliminates some or all of the detectable residual odoriferous compounds from hydrotropic compositions using a malodor treatment material, such as, for example, activated carbon. In one aspect of a preferred embodiment of the invention, a malodor treatment material enables the reduction and/or elimination of residual odoriferous compounds from hydrotropic compositions while keeping intact the active hydrotrope solids.

Method for reducing malodors in hydrotropic compositions

This invention relates to an apparatus end method for introducing various additives in solid form into a soap mass for the ultimate manufacture of soap bars. Specifically, the invention is directed to producing soap bars having a multicolored or marbleized appearance and made from a variety of different colored soap materials. Soap pellets having a color are introduced into a soap plodder as is customary. A second or alternate color of soap pellet is separately introduced into the interior of the plodder just before that point where the helical screw of the plodder enters the barrel of the extruder portion of the plodder. The plodder has been structurally modified so that the second or alternate color pellet is introduced into the plodder by means of a special feeding apparatus which not only controls the rate of delivery of the alternate color soap pellets but insures the pellets are directly introduced into the chamber formed by a flight of the helical screw immediately before the point where the screw enters the plodder barrel.

Multicolored soap bars

This invention relates to an apparatus and method for introducing various additives in solid form into a soap mass for the ultimate manufacture of soap bars. Specifically, the invention is directed to producing soap bars having a multicolored or marbleized appearance and made from a variety of different colored soap materials. Soap pellets having a color are introduced into a soap plodder as is customary. Apparatus for manufacturing multicolored soap bars

A continuous, high speed process for making translucent soap bars which, optionally are provided with a striated pattern. The process uses a mixture of tallow and coconut fatty acids saponified with a mixture of sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide. To the neat soap is added a superfatting agent and glycerin and the resulting neat soap is dried to a moisture level of from about 14% to about 18%. The dried soap is thereafter subject to amalgamation where a slurry containing additional glycerin and a polyethylene glycol of molecular weight of about 600 is added to and mixed with said soap. Following amalgamation, the soap is refined and thereafter compacted and extruded into a continuous log which may be cut and stamped into bars. A striated pattern may be incorporated into the translucent bars by adding mica platelets to the slurry at the amalgamation stage and conducting the compaction and extrusion of said soap in an extrusion plodder provided with a compaction plate, such plate having a series of openings through which the soap is forced resulting in soap bars having a unique striated pattern.

Process for making translucent soap bars

A process for the preparation of soap and soap/synthetic detergent products from raw materials normally employed in the manufacture of such products including fatty acids, triglycerides and caustic by subjecting such raw materials to intensive countercurrent mixing whereby saponification takes place in a relatively short time, and whereby cooling and moisture removal of the soap mass is accomplished by making the mixing vessel substantially air tight and applying a vacuum to the soap mass within the vessel to yield a product, preferably in granular form, which requires no further drying for most uses. The resulting product can, if desired, can then be subjected to plodding, extrusion and stamping to form soap in bar form. The starting material can also be a mixture of such raw materials where neutralization has already proceed to some degree, preferably to the neat soap stage.
