Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate, generally, to a control system for a movable partition. In one embodiment, the control system is an access control system that includes a lock control interface and a remote line interface at which lock modes are asserted, and which are communicated to a door controller. Protocols installed at the controller enable the controller to provide control signals to the movable partition responsive to the various lock modes asserted at the lock control interface and remote line interface.

Control system and movable folding partition

A motor control system for a folding partition includes a data storage device and processing circuitry. The data storage device is configured to store a normal threshold profile to serve as a threshold for a measured current supplied to a motor to detect abnormal operation of the motor. The motor is configured to drive motion of the folding partition. The processing circuitry is operably coupled to the data storage device. The processing circuitry is configured to generate an adjusted threshold profile to serve as a threshold for the measured current supplied to the motor while moving the folding partition during a transition from an abnormal operational mode to the normal operational mode. The adjusted threshold profile is used for detecting additional abnormal operation of the motor. The processing circuitry is configured to generate the adjusted threshold profile by adjusting at least a portion of the normal threshold profile.

Control systems for folding partitions and related methods

A motor control system comprises a motor control circuit, a non-transitory storage medium and a processing circuitry. The storage medium is configured to store a current threshold profile that is indicative of a current requirement of the motor control circuit for an operational cycle of a motor. The processing circuitry is configured to adjust the stored current threshold profile based on a change to the operational cycle of the motor (e.g., from standard to non-standard).

Monitoring systems for automatic doors comprise at least one input device configured for sensing at least one characteristic of at least one operational parameter of an automatic door system, a door system controller coupled to the at least one input device, at least one monitor display comprising a first interface operatively coupled to the door system controller, and at least another interface operatively coupled to the at least one monitor display and configured to be operatively coupled to at least one remote display device. The at least one monitor display is configured to continuously request information representative of the at least one operational parameter characteristic from the door system controller and display the information. Methods of monitoring an automatic door system comprise transmitting data representative of an operational parameter characteristic from an input device to at least one door system controller; sending a description of the operational parameter to a monitor display continuously; and displaying indicia representative of the description of the operational parameter.

Systems and methods for monitoring automatic doors

Protective clips for movable partitions include a guard portion that protrudes from a top major surface of a base portion. The guard portion extends along the top major surface proximate to a front side of the base portion. The guard portion also may extend along the top major surface proximate to at least one end side surface at a longitudinal end of the base portion. Movable partitions include one or more such protective clips. The protective clips optionally may be used to attach a sweep strip to panels of a movable partition. Methods of forming such protective clips include molding the clips within a mold cavity.

Automatic drive systems for movable partitions may comprise a floating jamb configured to attach to panels of a movable partition and glide within a pocket. A motor may be configured to extend the movable partition. The motor may be configured for mounting in the pocket on a back side of the floating jamb opposing a front side of the floating jamb to which the panels of the movable partition are configured to attach. An electronics enclosure may be sized and configured to contain electronics to connect to the motor. The electronics enclosure may be configured for positioning in the pocket on the backside in a location offset from the motor. A depth of the electronics enclosure, as measured in a direction in which the floating jamb is mounted to glide, may be less than or equal to a depth of the motor, as measured in the same direction.

Automatic drive systems, movable partition systems including such automatic drive systems, and related methods

A movable partition system includes a movable partition including coupled panels and a lead post engaged with and movable along a track. A motor control system includes a motor coupled to the movable partition and a switching circuit coupled to the motor and for selectively coupling the motor to a positive power source and a negative power source responsive to one or more PWM signals. An encoder is configured for generating one or more rotation signals indicative of operational direction and operational speed of the motor. A motor controller is coupled to the switching circuit and is configured for improving airflow around the panels of the movable partition when the lead post of the movable partition is between a predefined position and a fully retracted position indicative of a billowing effect for the panels by adjusting pulse widths of the PWM signals to control rotational speed of the motor.

In one embodiment of the present invention, a first movable partition is disposed adjacent, and laterally spaced from, a second movable partition. A first vision panel is disposed in the first partition and a second vision panel is disposed in the second partition in substantial alignment with the first vision panel. The position of the first vision panel is substantially constrained with respect to the position of the second vision panel along a first longitudinal direction. The first vision panel and the second vision panel are enabled to exhibit a desired amount of lateral displacement relative to each other.

Apparatuses, methods and systems for directionally controlling a movable partition are provided. In one embodiment, an apparatus for controlling lateral displacement of a movable partition includes a bracket, a roller assembly, a first attachment bracket, and a second attachment bracket. The roller assembly is coupled to the bracket and includes a roller element. The first attachment bracket attaches to a first panel of the movable partition and is configured for hinged coupling to a first side of the bracket such that a first hinge axis substantially coincides with a centerline of the first panel. The second attachment bracket attaches to a second panel of the movable partition and is configured hinged coupling to a second side of the bracket such that a second hinge axis substantially coincides with a centerline of the second panel.
