A method is provided for imparting images created with an inkjet printer to substrates. In accordance with the method, an image is imparted to an image receiving layer releasably disposed on a carrier sheet. An article can be provided, which is equipped with an adhesive patch on its surface. The image receiving layer is then brought into contact with the adhesive patch and, the carrier sheet is removed, thereby imparting an image to the substrate.

Ink jet transfer printing process

An imaging manifold suitable for use in imaging devices such as electrostatic machines, ink jet, thermal transfer, and similar devices. Preferred imaging manifolds include a transparent, polymeric sheet imageable in an imaging device, and attached thereto, an opaque member underlying and in register with the transparent sheet. The opaque member is adhered to the transparent polymeric sheet by an electrostatic charge.

Electrostatically charged imaging manifold

An image recording sheet comprising a substrate having an imaging surface and an opposing surface, the opposing surface having coated thereon a feed facilitation layer comprising a copolymer formed from at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of bicyclic alkyl (meth) acrylates, aliphatic alkyl (meth)acrylates having from one to 12 carbon atoms, aromatic (meth)acrylates, and a polar monomer having the formula: ##STR1## wherein R is hydrogen or methyl, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 may be hydrogen, identical or differing alkyl groups having up to 8 carbon atoms, preferably up to 2 carbon atoms, or the quaternary cationic salts thereof, at least one long chain polymeric particle having good antifriction characteristics and optionally, an antistatic agent selected from the group consisting of cationic agents, anionic agents, fluorinated agents, and nonionic agents.

Water-based transparent image recording sheet for plain paper copiers

A sheet of imageable film for use in an overhead projector is provided with at least one, and preferably two, opaque flaps attached in a foldable manner to the film so that the flaps may be unfolded to prevent unwanted light from shining past the edges of the transparency.
