An aircraft structural joint with a first structural component provided with an attachment hole that is configured to receive an corresponding attachment fastener provided by a second structural component; a curable composite bush compressed and cured between an outer diameter of the attachment fastener and the attachment hole when the first component is mounted to the second component, wherein the curable composite bush, when cured, prevents radial displacement of the attachment fastener within the attachment hole.

A wing for an aircraft, including a main wing, a slat, and a connection assembly movably connecting the slat to the main wing. The connection assembly includes an elongate slat track with a front end mounted to the slat and a rear end and an intermediate portion mounted to the main wing by a roller bearing, and includes a guide rail mounted to the main wing and a first roller unit mounted to the slat track rear end and engaging the guide rail. The roller bearing includes a second roller unit mounted to the main wing and engaging a slat track intermediate portion engagement surface. The slat track has an upper and lower flange and at least one web. The second roller unit is arranged in a recess between the upper and lower flanges and engages the engagement surface provided at the upper and/or lower flange.

Wing for an aircraft

An aircraft structural joint comprising a first structural component provided with an attachment hole that is configured to receive an corresponding attachment fastener provided by a second structural component; a curable composite bush compressed and cured between an outer diameter of the attachment fastener and the attachment hole when the first component is mounted to the second component, wherein the curable composite bush, when cured, prevents radial displacement of the attachment fastener within the attachment hole.

A wing for an aircraft includes a main wing, slat, and connection assembly movably connecting the slat to the main wing, wherein the slat is movable between a retracted position and an extended position. The connection assembly includes a guide rail and an elongate slat track extending along a track longitudinal axis between front and rear ends, the front end of the slat track fixedly mounted to the slat. A first roller unit is mounted to the rear end of the slat track engaging the guide rail. A roller bearing includes a second roller unit mounted to the main wing and engaging an engagement surface of the slat track. The slat track includes a slot extending through the slat track along the track longitudinal axis. The second roller unit includes a first roller element and a second roller element mounted on one common shaft for common rotation, and the common shaft proceeds through the slot.

An airfoil arrangement which allows an increased reliability and increased aerodynamic performance of airfoils. A catching bracket is provided which is mounted in a track device opening to reduce the area of the track device opening and, when there is a failure of at least one support roller, the catching bracket engages the track device.

Airfoil arrangement for an aircraft

A wing for an aircraft including a main wing, slat, and connection assembly movable connecting the slat to the main wing and including an elongate slat track. A front end of the slat track is mounted to the slat. A rear end and an intermediate portion of the slat track are mounted to the main wing by a roller bearing that includes a guide rail mounted to the main wing and a first roller unit mounted to the rear end of the slat track and engaging the guide rail. The wing has redundant main load paths. The guide rail includes a guide rail primary structure engaging with the first roller unit and an additional reinforcement structure additionally reinforcing the guide rail primary structure in a lateral direction. The guide rail primary structure forms a first main load path. The reinforcement structure forms a redundant second main load path.

A curable composite bush for an aircraft joint comprising a generally hollow cylindrical body formed from a matrix material impregnated with a reinforcement material substantially composed of fibers, the fibers being oriented in a generally circumferential direction about a longitudinal axis of the bush. The body may define a plurality of corrugations extending between an inner and an outer diameter of the bush to improve the compressibility of the bush in a direction substantially collinear to a longitudinal axis of the bush.

The roller bearing includes a second roller unit mounted to the main wing and engaging an engagement surface at the intermediate portion of the slat track. The slat track profile has upper and lower flange portions and a web portion connecting them. The second roller unit is in a recess between upper and lower flange portions and engages the engagement surface at the upper flange portion and/or at the lower flange portion.
