A vehicle charging system comprises at least one controller and at least one arm, each arm having a first end coupled to an actuator and a second end comprising a charging interface. The actuator is configured to articulate the arm into a charging position. The charging interface comprises at least one charging contact coupled to a power source and configured to engage and deliver power to a vehicle charging interface to charge at least one battery of a vehicle. The charging system can include a plurality of arms, each configured to charge a different vehicle. A method of charging one or more vehicles using the charging system is also provided.

Vehicle auto-charging system and method

Disclosed herein is a test rover apparatus, a test system and a test method using the test rover apparatus. For example, the test rover apparatus is provided with a chassis that is configured to support an object representing a mobile actor, and a motor that is coupled to at least one wheel. At least one spring is coupled between the at least one wheel and the chassis to: bias the at least one wheel to extend out of the cavity to engage an underlying surface, and compress in response to a load being applied to the top of the chassis thereby retracting the at least one wheel into the cavity. A controller is configured to control the motor to drive the at least one wheel to propel the chassis along a predetermined route that is based on simulation data and corresponds to a maneuver of the mobile actor.

A vehicle sensor system including a memory; and a processor coupled to the memory, the processor configured to receive, from a temperature monitor, temperature of a sensor of a vehicle, and cause a sensor cleaning subsystem to, in response to the temperature of the sensor being less than a threshold temperature: heat a cleaning fluid, the cleaning fluid configure to clean and heat the sensor, and initiate a cleaning cycle and direct the heated cleaning fluid to the sensor to increase the temperature of the sensor.

Systems and methods for thermal management of vehicle sensor devices

A method for cooling a sensor of a vehicle, the method including receiving temperature data corresponding to the sensor from a temperature monitor; and in response to determining that a current temperature of the sensor being greater than a first threshold temperature, initiating a cleaning cycle and directing cleaning fluid to the sensor.

Devices, systems, and methods are provided for enhanced sensor cleaning validation. A device may receive a signal from a sensor indicative of an obstruction on the sensor. The device may activate a cleaning system at a degree of actuation responsive to the obstruction. The device may then obtain a first post-clean performance measurement of the sensor. The device may then adjust the degree of actuation of the cleaning system based on a degradation measurement between a baseline performance measurement associated with a clean performance baseline of the sensor and the first post-clean performance measurement.

Enhanced sensor cleaning validation

Devices, systems, and methods are provided for testing and validation of a cleaning system for a sensor such as a camera. A device may capture a first image of a target using the sensor, wherein the sensor is in a clean state, and wherein the target is in a line of sight of the sensor. The device may apply an obstruction to a portion of a lens of the sensor. The device may apply a cleaning system to the lens. The device may capture a post-clean image after applying the cleaning system. The device may determine a post-clean image quality score based on comparing the post clean image to the first image. The device may compare the post-clean image quality score to a validation threshold. The device may determine a validation state of the cleaning system based on the comparison.

Validation of a camera cleaning system

A vehicle charging system comprises at least one controller and at least one arm, each arm having a first end coupled an actuator and a second end comprising a charging interface. A device may capture a first image of a target using a camera, wherein the camera is in a clean state, and wherein the target is in a line of sight of the camera. The device may capture a post-clean image after applying the camera cleaning system. The device may determine a post-clean SSIM score based on comparing the post clean image to the first image. The device may compare the post-clean SSIM score to a validation threshold. The device may determine a validation state of the camera cleaning system based on the comparison.

Methods and systems for thermal management of sensors of a vehicle. The system includes a sensor that is attached to a vehicle, a temperature monitor configured to collect temperature data corresponding to the sensor, a processor, and a sensor cleaning subsystem. The sensor cleaning subsystem includes a cleaning fluid reservoir and a port that is positioned to direct cleaning fluid from the reservoir to the sensor. The processor is configured to: receive temperature data corresponding to the sensor from the temperature monitor, determine that a current temperature of the sensor is greater than a first threshold temperature, and cause the sensor cleaning subsystem to initiate a cleaning cycle and direct the cleaning fluid to the sensor to cool down the sensor in response to determining that the current temperature of the sensor is greater than the first threshold temperature.

Methods and systems for thermal management of sensors of a vehicle. The system includes a processor and a sensor cleaning subsystem including a cleaning fluid reservoir and a port that is positioned to direct cleaning fluid from the reservoir to a vehicle sensor. Devices, systems, and methods are provided for enhanced sensor cleaning validation. A device may determine a baseline performance measurement associated with a clean performance baseline of a sensor. The device may actuate a cleaning mechanism to remove at least a portion of an obstruction deposited on the sensor. The device may determine a first post-clean performance measurement associated with the sensor. The device may determine a degradation measurement between the baseline performance measurement and the first post-clean performance measurement, wherein the degradation measurement indicates an effectiveness of the cleaning mechanism.
