A portable massage table and recovery device features a support table and independent massage head mounted within a slot in said support table. Both massage head and support table are supported upon the ground and the support table is capable of independent rolling motion in-line with the massage head. The massage head has varying levels of resistance and an articulable massage structure. Side rolling wheels may be used to maintain the in-line relationship of the massage head and support table.

Portable self massage table and recovery device

An improved self-massage apparatus may feature a main mounting bar serving as a body and one or two coaxial and slidable tubes to provide mounting tension. An outer surface may present a rotatable massage head. The two ends of the apparatus may have brackets or other interfaces to secure the apparatus between two parallel surfaces. Clamps, ratchets, and other tension devices may be used to hold the main components in fixed relation to each other and the massage head may rotate a full 360&#xb0; on at least two planes for a customizable and extremely versatile massage experience.

A method of manufacturing an articulating ophthalmic surgical probe includes providing a cannula having an outer diameter of 20 Ga or less and a slotted tip, permanently attaching a pull wire to the slotted tip, permanently attaching a metal anchor to a distal end of the pull wire, positioning a weld pin within a handle assembly that is sized to fit within a single hand, and welding the metal anchor to the weld pin within the handle assembly.

Manufacturing an articulating ophthalmic surgical probe

A method of manufacturing an optical probe for use in ophthalmic procedures can comprise: positioning a ferrule within a proximal portion of a cannula, wherein an optical fiber extends at least partially through the ferrule towards an optical element disposed within a distal portion of the cannula; and coupling the cannula to the ferrule by applying laser energy to the cannula. An optical probe can be provided that includes a cannula including a proximal portion and a distal portion; a ferrule disposed within the proximal portion of the cannula, the cannula and the ferrule coupled together by engaged deformations in the cannula and the ferrule; and an optical fiber positioned at least partially within the optical probe, the optical fiber configured to receive a light from a light source and guide the light to an optical element positioned within the distal portion of the cannula.

Surgical probe with interlocking attachment

An optical surgical probe includes a handpiece having a metal cannula at a distal end, a light guide within the metal cannula that carries a light beam from a light source through the metal cannula, and a multi-spot generator formed within a distal opening of the metal cannula that seals the distal opening of the metal cannula. The multi-spot generator includes a proximally-facing faceted end surface spaced from a distal end of the light guide that includes at least one facet oblique to a path of the light beam and a ball lens located distal to the faceted end surface. A high-conductivity ferrule surrounds the distal end of the light guide, is in thermal contact with the metal cannula, and includes a side-shield portion extending beyond the distal end of the light guide. The ferrule shields the cannula from a portion of the light beam reflected by the faceted end surface.

An optical surgical probe includes a cannula; a light guide within the cannula, configured to receive a light beam from the light source, to guide the light beam to a distal end of the light guide, and to emit the light beam at the distal end of the light guide; and a multi-spot generator at a distal end of the cannula, the multi-spot generator having a faceted proximal surface with oblique facets, configured to receive the light beam emitted at the distal end of the light guide and to split the received light beam into multiple beam-components, and a distal surface through which the multiple beam-components exit the multi-spot generator, wherein the proximal surface of the multi-spot generator is micro-structured with a modulation length smaller than a wavelength of the light beam in order to reduce the reflectance of light back into the probe.

Devices, systems, and methods relating to a valve that may be used with a prosthesis attachment include a valve assembly that includes a spring loaded insert portion and a base portion that interfaces to lock and unlock by depressing the spring loaded insert portion.

Valve for prosthesis attachment

A valve assembly having a threadless base and a removable threadless insert that separately contains a check valve piece. The check valve piece is resiliently supported to abut a seal fitted to the insert. In one assembly, a pair of resiliently biased latch arms restrain the insert to the base. Flanges at the latch arms are resiliently biased to flex and grip the base as the insert is pushed into the base. Insert removal is effected with the release and lifting of the latch arms. In another assembly, the insert is magnetically coupled to the base and a resiliently biased check valve piece and setscrew adjuster regulates flow pressure.

Explusion valve assembly

A valve assembly having a base and a removable latched insert that separately contains a valve piece. The valve piece is resiliently supported to abut a seal fitted to the insert. The insert is restrained to the base with a pair of resiliently biased latch arms that radiate from the insert. Flanges at the latch arms are resiliently biased to flex and grip the base as the insert is pushed into the base. Insert removal is effected with the release of the latch arms and a lifting of the latch arms.
