Described are apparatus, systems, and methods of improving cleaning of, e.g., stairs of swimming pools. Automatic swimming pool cleaners (APCs) capable of autonomous movement within water-containing vessels may be utilized to provide enhanced cleaning of sections of the vessels containing stairs or other angled surfaces.

Skimming devices may use pressurized water from, for example, a return line of a swimming pool or spa. The devices may be adjustable vertically and levelled relative to an upper water surface (waterline) of a pool. They additionally may create 'blades' of debris-laden pool water entering their floating heads so as to move debris smoothly and efficiently over wings or foils into associated filters.

Motor housings and shrouds are detailed. Inlets of the shrouds may be included on any or all portions of their peripheries (as well as on rears of shrouds if desired). Air hence need not necessarily be drawn wholly linearly into the shrouds, permitting the shrouds to abut, or at least be closely proximate, other objects without materially diminishing air flow into the shrouds. Moreover, plates within the shrouds may be positioned so as to create torturous paths through which the air must travel. Channeling air through these torturous paths helps reduce noise as the air moves to the fans.

Automatic swimming pool cleaners and components thereof are described. The cleaners may provide dual filtration of debris suspended in water of pools as well as a fluid path allowing some water to by-pass one of the two filters. They also may include any of all components such as multi-section inlet tubes, Venturi jets, nozzles exhausting water onto rotatable vanes, brushes, downforce turbines, and mechanisms for adjusting water flow through thrust jets or sweep tails.

Described are cleaning devices intended for immersion in water of swimming pools and spas. The devices beneficially may be pressure-side cleaners attached indirectly to outlets of water-circulation pumps. The supply of pressurized water travelling from a pump to such a device may be employed for various purposes, including directing debris-laden water to or near tops of debris collection chambers. The water exiting nozzles associated with the devices may push, rather than pull, the debris-laden water toward the collection chambers. Some nozzles may be oriented approximately parallel to a to-be-cleaned pool surface, and curved tubes may be employed to direct water and debris flow to perimeters of the cleaners.

The assemblies are especially (although not necessarily exclusively) useful in allowing fluid to bypass automatic pool cleaners (APCs) and may serve as adaptors between APCs and adjacent hoses. The assemblies additionally may provide information about flow rates relative to a desired threshold, for example.

The invention relates to a grey water reclamation system and methods therefor. Grey water is captured from a source, such as a sink, and stored in a main body containing a pump. The grey water is transported to a flush tank for use with a toilet. The system provides for use of a mixture of fresh water and grey water without interrupting the service to the user. Usage of grey water is maximized without completely eliminating the fresh water as a component that ensures service when grey water is unavailable.
