An automated grain filling system including a sensor and a processor. The sensor is configured to detect at least a portion of an upper perimeter of a receiving container and at least a portion of an upper surface of a grain mound in the receiving container. The processor is configured to compare the detected portion of the upper perimeter and the detected portion of the upper surface, and direct the operation of a grain transfer element. The grain transfer element is configured to transfer grain from a supplying container to the receiving container. The directed operation of the grain transfer element is based at least in part on a result of the comparison of the detected portion of the upper perimeter and the detected portion of the upper surface.

Automated grain filling system and related methods

A system for directing the movement of a grain transfer element. The system includes a torque sensor and a processor. The torque sensor is configured to detect a torque of a drivetrain configured to drive the transfer element. The processor is configured to compare the detected torque to a torque threshold, and direct the movement of the transfer element between a folded position and an unloading position. The directed movement of the transfer element is based at least in part on a result of the comparison of the detected torque and the torque threshold.

Grain transfer element locking system and related methods

An agricultural apparatus includes a first main wing and at least one wheel on one side and a second main wing and at least one wheel on an opposite side. The first and second main wings are pivotable about respective axes of rotation between extended positions in which the first and second main wings extend laterally outward from respective opposite sides of the frame structure, and retracted, storage positions in which the first and second main wings extend generally along a length of the frame structure for shipping or transport. The first and second main wings include respective raised sections each configured to extend over a respective wheel on a corresponding side of the frame structure in the storage position. The raised sections each include a frame having a generally concave shape receiving a portion of one of the first and second wheels in the storage position.

Agricultural apparatus and method

A grain cart includes a lower auger conveyor section and an upper auger conveyor section pivotally movable relative to the lower auger conveyor section between a first position and a second position. The lower auger conveyor section further includes an auger feed gate movable between a closed position and an open position. The grain cart further includes a movement actuator adapted to move the upper auger conveyor section between the first position and the second position. The grain also includes a control system including an auger feed gate position sensor operatively coupled to the movement actuator and functioning to control the movement actuator based on input from the auger feed gate position sensor to provide a lock out function preventing the movement actuator from moving the upper auger conveyor section towards the first position only when the auger feed gate is in the open position.

System and method for controlling operation of a discharge conveyor on a grain cart

A talc applicator is provided for use with agricultural equipment such as grain carts and seed tenders. The talc applicator includes a supply hopper with a trough, a discharge, a feed auger extending through the trough and discharge, and an agitator assembly positioned in the supply hopper immediately above the feed auger and trough. The agitator assembly includes a drive gear driven by the drive element of the feed auger and an elongated agitator element including at least two elongate bars and a plurality of angled crossbars connecting the two elongate bars. The agitator element rotates to assist with flow of talc into the trough so that the feed auger can move the talc to the other agricultural equipment. The talc applicator may also be provided with a hydraulic motor and a flexible flighting in the feed auger.
