A method for forming a lubricant layer on the surface of a glass and a method for manufacturing a glass using the same prevents scratches from occurring at the surface of a glass and decreases corrosion of glass manufacturing equipment. The method for manufacturing a glass includes forming a glass, supplying SOgas and a SOgas oxidation catalyst to the glass under an oxidation environment to form a lubricant layer at the lower surface of the glass, and annealing the glass.

The present invention provides the composition of an alkali-free glass composition containing no alkali metal oxide and the preparation thereof. The alkali-free glass comprising substantially no alkali metal oxide according to the present invention comprises 68 to 75 wt % of SiO; 1 to 3 wt % of BO; 4 to 13 wt % of AlO; 1 to 6 wt % of MgO; 1 to 11 wt % of CaO; 4 to 9 wt % of SrO; and 3 to 7 wt % of BaO, based on the total weight of oxides present therein.

Alkali-free glass and preparation thereof

A method for high resolution ink-jet print using a pre-patterned substrate employs an ink-jet printing device including an ink-jet head for discharging conductive ink droplets and a driving stage for supporting a substrate to which the conductive ink droplets are hit, to draw a fine line width pattern on the substrate. The method includes (A) forming a stripe pattern with repeated stripes on a substrate surface on which a fine line width pattern will be formed, thereby preparing a pre-patterned substrate; (B) loading the substrate to the ink-jet printing device; and (C) injecting conductive ink droplets to a substrate region where the stripe pattern is formed. An equivalent interval (d) of the stripe pattern and a fine line width (D) of the drawn fine line width pattern satisfy a relation of d&#x3c;&#x3c;D, and the hit ink droplets are flowed in an anisotropic form within the region.

An ink injection method includes the steps of: storing vibration region information of a stage to which a head for injecting ink is mounted; changing coordinates of the stage by deducting the coordinates as much as the vibration region in a direction opposite to a pattern printing direction on the basis of coordinates at which pattern printing starts; moving the stage in the pattern printing direction after the stage is moved to the changed coordinates; deducting the changed coordinates from current coordinates of the stage to calculate a moving distance of the moving stage; and controlling the head to inject ink in correspondence to the pattern in case the moving distance of the stage is corresponding to the vibration region. This method prevents erroneous pattern printing due to initial vibration caused by movement of the stage when ink is injected for printing the pattern.
