A condensate water removing apparatus for vehicle air conditioners which quickly removes condensate water generated from a thermoelement assembly. The apparatus includes: a thermoelement assembly installed in an air channel that guides air sucked and blown by a blower fan for heating or cooling; a partition plate placed to come into contact with the thermoelement assembly so that it guides air when sucked air passes through the thermoelement assembly so as to become cooling or heating air, the partition plate partitioning the air channel into an air supply channel and an air discharge channel; and a moisture absorbing material covering the thermoelement assembly and extending from the air supply channel to the air discharge channel so that the moisture absorbing material absorbs condensate water generated from the air supply channel and guides the condensate water to the air discharge channel, thereby removing the condensate water in the air discharge channel.

Condensate water removing apparatus for vehicle air conditioners

A positive temperature coefficient (PTC) rod assembly is provided for a PTC heater. PTC elements and an electrode terminal to which an insulator is attached may be retained in a channel-shaped rod cover having an open side so as to be exposed to the outside, and a heat-radiating fin is in direct contact with one surface of the rod cover so as to conduct heat, and another heat-radiating fin may be in direct contact with one surface of the insulator attached to an outer surface of the electrode terminal so as to conduct heat, so that the PTC rod assembly minimizes empty space in an inner space of the rod cover, increases heat transfer efficiency, and is easily manufactured due to a simple structure and reduction in the number of parts.

Positive temperature coefficient (PTC) rod assembly and PTC heater using the same

A Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) assembly, in which protrusions are formed on opposite longitudinal edges of an electrode terminal, PTC elements are held between the protrusions and are in contact with the electrode terminal, an insulating member is attached to an outer surface of the electrode terminal, and a rod cover houses therein the electrode terminal, the PTC elements and the insulating member. A simple structure is realized, fabrication costs are reduced, and a hollow space inside the rod cover is minimized, leading to improved heat transfer efficiency from the PTC elements to the rod cover, reduced noise and a slim structure.

Positive temperature coefficient (PTC) rod assembly

A heating and cooling apparatus for a vehicle seat, may include a blower blowing air into a duct leading to the vehicle seat, and a thermoelectric element assembly connected to the duct and including a thermoelectric element that heats or cools air introduced toward the vehicle seat from the duct, the thermoelectric element having condensed water passages penetrating from one side to the other side thereof to allow condensed water to flow therethrough.

Heating and cooling system for vehicle seat

A Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) rod assembly and a preheater incorporating the same. The PTC rod assembly includes a negative terminal and a positive terminal coupled with opposite surfaces of a PTC rod, the negative and positive terminals being spaced apart from and parallel to each other; a PTC element interposed between and being in electrical contact with the negative and positive terminals, an insulating film adhered to exposed portions of the negative and positive terminals, which are coupled with the PTC rod, and a PTC rod housing. The PTC rod housing stores the PTC rod therein, the negative and positive terminals and the PTC element coupled with the PTC rod, and the insulating film adhered to the PTC rod. The PTC rod assembly is used stably even when a high voltage is applied thereto. A short circuit is prevented from occurring between the two terminals due to contact.

PTC rod assembly and preheater incorporating the same

A high-capacity positive temperature coefficient heater, may include a plurality of positive temperature coefficient rods, wherein each of the positive temperature coefficient rods has a built-in positive temperature coefficient element that generates heat when electric power is supplied thereto, a plurality of heat-radiating fins attached to either side of the positive temperature coefficient rods along a longitudinal direction thereof, an upper housing coupled to one ends of the positive temperature coefficient rods, and a lower housing coupled to the other ends of the positive temperature coefficient rods, wherein the heat radiating fins are bonded to the positive temperature coefficient rods by heat conductive adhesive.

High-capacity PTC heater

A positive temperature coefficient heater may include at least one positive temperature coefficient rod having a heating module inserted into a rod case made of brass and plated with tin, at least one heat-radiating fin made of brass, plated with tin, and contacted and coupled with each of opposite outer faces of the positive temperature coefficient rod, and upper and lower housings coupled to opposite longitudinal ends of the positive temperature coefficient rod, wherein the positive temperature coefficient rod and the heat-radiating fin are joined together by soldered portions.
