Ink-jet printer and method for supplying ink-jet printer with printing fluid. Device includes first reservoir configured to contain first volume of printing fluid at first level relative to reference plane, supply system structured to force printing fluid towards first reservoir, and second reservoir configured to contain second volume of printing fluid at second level relative to reference plane. Second level is lower than first level by level difference value. A conduit is configured to receive printing fluid from first reservoir and convey printing fluid towards second reservoir, and ejector units are arranged to receive printing fluid from conduit. An ejection plane in which ejector units lie is located at a height relative to reference plane higher than average of first and second levels to generate a back pressure in ejector units. Flowrate of printing fluid inside conduit is greater than a maximum flowrate of printing fluid ejectable from ejector units.

The present invention relates to an adhesive composition comprising (1) at least one polyol tri(meth)acrylate monomer selected from the group consisting of ditrimethylolpropane triacrylate (DiTMPTTA), tris-(2-hydroxyethyl)-isocyanurate triacrylate (THEICTA), dipentaerythritol triacrylate (DiPETA), ethoxylated trimethylolpropane triacrylate (TMPEOTA), propoxylated trimethylolpropane triacrylate (TMPPOTA), ethoxylated pentaerythritol triacrylate (PETEOIA), propoxylated glyceryl triacrylate (GPTA), pentaerythritol triacrylate (PETA), trimethylolpropane triacrylate (TMPTA) and modified pentaerythritol triacrylate, triethyleneglycol trimethacrylate (TIEGTMA), tetraethyleneglycol trimethacrylate (TTEGTMA), polyethyleneglycol trimethacrylate hexane trimethacrylate (HTTMA) ethoxylated bisphenol A trimethacrylate, and trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate (TMPTMA), (2) at least one polyalkylene glycol mono(meth)acrylate monomer selected from the group consisting of polypropylene glycol monomethacrylate, polyethylene glycol monomethacrylate, polyethylene glycol-polypropylene glycol monomethacrylate, polypropylene glycol-monoacrylate, polyethylene glycol monoacrylate, polypropylene glycol-polytrimethylene monoacrylate, polyethylene glycol-polytetramethylene glycol monomethacrylate, methoxypolyethylene glycol monomethacrylate, yerfluoroalkylethyl-polyoxyalkylene monomethacrylate, and combinations thereof, and (3) at least one radical initiator selected from the group of initiators sensitive to UV and/or blue radiation (photoinitiator) and thermal initiators (thermoinitiator). The adhesive composition is used for assembling elements made of plastic materials, like PMMA or SAN, or inorganic materials, like glass or metals, employed for manufacturing of devices for the distribution of containment of biological substances.

Acrylic adhesive for assembling elements contacting biological substances

An ink-jet printing device is described, said device comprising a first reservoir designed to contain a first volume of printing fluid at a first height with respect to a reference plane, a supply system for forcing the printing fluid towards the first reservoir and a second reservoir designed to contain a second volume of printing fluid at a second height with respect to the reference plane. The second height is less than the first height by a value. The device also comprises a conduit designed to receive the printing fluid from the first reservoir and convey it towards the second reservoir and an ejection plane in which ejector units lie. The ejection plane is arranged in a position higher than the average of the first height and the second height, so as to generate a back pressure in the ejector units. The flowrate of the printing fluid is between about 5 and about 10 times the maximum flowrate which can be ejected from said ejector units. The printing fluid may be a ceramic ink.

The present invention relates to acrylic adhesive composition comprising a mixture of at least one polyol tri(meth)acrylate monomer and at least one polyalkylene glycol mono(meth)acrylate monomer for assembling elements made of plastic materials, like PMMA or SAN, or inorganic material, like glass or metals, employed for manufacturing of devices for the distribution or containment of biological substances, like proteins, enzymes, antibodies, antigens, DNA, and the like. The present invention also relates to devices for the distribution or containment of biological substances assembled with the above mentioned acrylic adhesive composition, and particularly thermal or piezoelectric ejecting devices, and biochip microarray, as well as to a method for assembling thereof.

Ink jet print head comprising a substrate with an upper surface and a lower surface; a plurality of actuators with ejection chambers and ink supply passages, an ink distribution slot formed in the substrate between the lower surface and the upper surface; a manifold formed in the substrate of the upper surface around the slot for the feed to the actuators; and a plurality of bubble prevention elements formed in the feed manifold. The plurality of bubble prevention elements is provided only for a marginal set of actuators remote from the distribution slot.
