An apparatus for producing a food item contains a cultivation component for cultivating and preparing an edible cultivated ingredient, and a device for preparing an edible external ingredient, which is not cultivated in the apparatus. The apparatus also has processing devices, which are intended to produce a food item from at least one cultivated ingredient and at least one external ingredient. The apparatus further has a control unit, which is intended to determine a recipe for producing a first food item. The recipe indicates ingredients and process steps for producing the first food item. The control unit is also intended to cause the processing devices to produce the first food item in accordance with the recipe.

A method for identifying a recipe for food which has already been prepared includes identifying image data which shows the food that has already been prepared. A recipe is identified on the basis of the image data. The identification of the recipe includes identifying a food candidate which corresponds to a specific probability of the food that has already been prepared on the basis of the image data and identifying a recipe for preparing the food candidate. The identified recipe indicates a multiplicity of ingredients for preparing the food candidate and process steps of a method for preparing the food candidate from the multiplicity of ingredients. A system for identifying a recipe for an already produced food is also provided.

System and method for providing a recipe

A method for controlling a plurality of domestic appliances with the aid of a portable operating apparatus which wirelessly communicates with the domestic appliances includes transmitting a control signal from the portable operating apparatus to the domestic appliances and using the control signal to jointly change over the domestic appliances between an at-home mode, in which first settings are made in the domestic appliances, and a not-at-home mode, in which second settings are made in the domestic appliances. The portable operating apparatus receives an operator input which is carried out by a user using an input device of the portable operating apparatus, and the control signal for changing over the domestic appliances is emitted by the portable operating apparatus on the basis of the operator input.
