The present disclosure relates to prosthesis systems having trays and liners having an asymmetrical locking mechanism to bias the strength of the liner to resist loading forces and associated methods. The tray has a lateral groove disposed in an inner surface of a lateral circumferential portion of the tray and a medial groove disposed in an inner surface of a medial circumferential portion of the tray. The liner has an upper segment and a lower segment. The liner has a locking portion for lockingly engaging the tray that includes the lower segment. The locking portion has a lateral toe positioned generally diametrically opposite a plurality of resiliently deformable medial fingers defined therein. The liner and the tray are engageable in a lateral-to-medial direction so that the plurality of medial fingers can resiliently deform to engage the medial groove subsequent to engagement of the lateral toe within the lateral groove.

Directional locking reverse shoulder prostheses and systems

Apparatuses, kits, and methods for cementing an orthopedic implant to a bone, post attachment, are disclosed in some aspects of the present disclosure. A kit can include a prosthetic component and a cement applicator. The prosthetic component can include an attachment profile that corresponds to a mating profile formed on or in a bone. The cement applicator can be configured to apply a bone cement between the bone and the prosthetic component following alignment between the prosthetic component and the bone or another prosthetic component. The kit can also include a bone cement. A method can include positioning the prosthetic component adjacent to the bone, aligning the prosthetic component relative to the bone or another prosthetic component, and applying a bone cement between the bone and the aligned prosthetic component.

Attachments for orthopedic implants

A surgical rotary cutting tool and guard assembly is provided in which the cutting tool has a shaft with a proximal end and a distal end with an end effector at the distal end. The shaft includes at least one bearing mounted thereto intermediate the proximal and distal ends, the bearing having an inside dimension and the shaft having an outside dimension that provide for an interference fit between the bearing and the shaft. A tubular sleeve that serves as a guard houses the shaft, the sleeve having an inside dimension sized to slidably support the bearing.
