A bicycle trainer is adapted for use with a bicycle. The trainer includes a base and a frame having spaced apart ends adapted to engage and support the bicycle. A pivoting assembly is joined to the frame of a central portion of the frame and to the base. The pivoting assembly allows movement between the frame and the base and includes a biasing mechanism that resists tilting of the frame relative to the base. The frame is supported only by the pivoting assembly.

Bicycle trainer

A bicycle trainer frame adapted for use with a bicycle includes a frame member having spaced apart ends. A coupler is disposed in at least one of the ends, the coupler having engaging cam elements to cause linear movement of a rod. A lever is connected to one of the cam elements wherein the cam surfaces are configured to cause linear movement for rotation of lever less than one revolution such that the rod moves from a first position to a second position, the first position being spaced apart from a component of the bicycle to allow removal of the bicycle from the frame, and the second position being sufficient to secure the bicycle to the frame.

Locking mechanism for a bicycle trainer

A locking mechanism includes a tube and a rod slidable with respect to the tube. A driving mechanism is adapted to engage the rod to provide movement of the rod relative to the tube and a locking mechanism is used to lock the rod in a locking position.

A compactor for compacting material includes a trough adapted to hold the material for compaction. A feed channel is coupled to the trough. A shearing die assembly having a first aperture aligned with the feed channel is adapted to receive material and a second aperture is adapted to receive a ramming portion. The shearing die assembly includes a first support having the first aperture, a second support facing the first support, a first plate member removably engaging the first support and having a third aperture aligned with the first aperture, a second plate member facing the first plate member and removably engaging the second support, a first intermediate plate separator removably engaging and spacing apart the first plate member and the second plate member, and a second intermediate plate separator engaging and spacing apart the first plate member and the second plate member, the second intermediate support member being disposed opposite the first intermediate plate separator, wherein surfaces of the first plate member, the second plate member, the first intermediate plate separator and the second intermediate plate separator form four sides of a compaction chamber.

The material compactor generally includes a feed apparatus and a final compaction apparatus. The final compaction apparatus generally includes a compaction chamber having confronting compression plates and an adjustably taperable portion. The area of the inner cavity of the final compaction chamber can be adjusted to become measurably smaller (tapered) or larger at the opened discharge or expelling end. Consequently, compacting movement of the material within the compaction chamber and through the chamber significantly subjects the material to restrictive compacting pressure which in turn compacts the material and performs liquid separation with each operationally continuous movement through the final compaction apparatus and out an open discharge port.

Material compaction apparatus

The material compactor in accordance with the present invention generally includes a feed apparatus, a preliminary compaction apparatus, and a final compaction apparatus. The final compaction apparatus generally includes a compaction chamber having an adjustably taperable choke tube. The area of the inner cavity of the final compaction chamber can be tapered to become measurably smaller or larger at the discharge or expelling end. Consequently, compacting movement of the material within the compaction chamber and through the tapered choke tube significantly subjects the material to restrictive compacting pressure which in turn compacts the material and performs liquid separation with each operationally continuous movement through the final compaction apparatus.

An exercise resistance device for use in an exercise apparatus includes a rotatable shaft and an impeller rotatable within a fluid filled sealed chamber. A rotating member is joined for rotation with the rotatable shaft. The rotating member is external to the sealed chamber and is magnetically coupled to the impeller.

Exercise resistance device with magnets

An exerciser adapted for use with a pedaled device includes a frame having a post support ends for supporting the pedaled device and a frame mounting flange. A resistance device is selectively securable to the frame mounting flange in a first position relative to the opposed support ends. An adapter is selectively securable to the frame mounting flange and has an adapter mounting flange such that when the adapter is secured to the secured mounting flange, the resistance device is securable to the adapter mounting flange.
