A tip guard is provided for protecting an airless spray tip and preventing accumulation of paint on the tip guard. The tip guard has two pair of vanes extending forwardly and radially outwardly from a base, each a pair of vanes being joined by a crossbar. A pointed edge faces radially inwardly from each of the vanes and the crossbar and, generally, planar sides are provided to each plane, thereby allowing air flow through the side of the tip guard and preventing buildup of paint on the surface of the tip guard.

A centrifugal sprayer of the type having an electric motor driving a disc element, and coupled to a feed mechanism suspended in immersion in a container of liquid to be sprayed, including an external axially supporting bushing surface about the cone feeder, wherein the lower feed opening of the cone feeder is supported by a mating conical bushing surface, thereby providing laminar flow to the inlet of the cone feeder.

A paint spraying apparatus of the type utilizing a high speed rotating disk having a liquid feed mechanism to the underside of the disk, wherein the improvement includes a metering valve which forms an extension of the rotating sprayer portion and is intermediate the spraying disk and a screw-driven pump, wherein the valve may be axially positioned into a valve seat for controlling liquid flow rate.
