A multilayer ceramic electronic component includes: a ceramic body including dielectric layers and a plurality of first and second internal electrodes disposed on the dielectric layers to face each other with each of the dielectric layers interposed therebetween; and first and second external electrodes disposed on external surfaces of the ceramic body and electrically connected to the first and second internal electrodes, wherein the dielectric layer includes a dielectric ceramic composition including a base material main component represented by z(Ba(1-x)Ca.)TiO3-(1-z)BaTi205 including a first main component represented by (Ba(1-x)Ca.)TiO3 and a second main component represented by BaTi2O5, 0.7z0.8 and 0≤x<0.1.

A method of manufacturing a multilayer ceramic electronic component includes: preparing a dielectric magnetic composition including base material powder particles including BaTiOor (BaCa)TiO(0≤x≤0.1), the base material powder particles having surfaces coated with one or more of Mg, Mn, V, Ba, Si, Al and a rare earth metal; preparing ceramic green sheets using dielectric slurry including the dielectric magnetic composition; applying an internal electrode paste to the ceramic green sheets; preparing a green sheet laminate by stacking the ceramic green sheets to which the internal electrode paste is applied; and preparing a ceramic body including dielectric layers and a plurality of first and second internal electrodes arranged to face each other with each of the dielectric layers interposed therebetween by sintering the green sheet laminate.

Method of manufacturing multilayer ceramic electronic component and multilayer ceramic electronic component

A multi-layered ceramic electronic component includes a ceramic body including a dielectric layer, and a plurality of first and second internal electrodes opposing each other with the dielectric layer interposed therebetween; and first and second external electrodes arranged outside of the ceramic body and electrically connected to the first and second internal electrodes, wherein the dielectric layer comprises a dielectric ceramic composition containing: a base material represented by (BaCa)TiO(0&#x3c;x&#x2264;0.09) as a main component, Y as a first accessory component, Mg as a second accessory component, Ba or Zr, or a mixture thereof, as a third accessory component, Mn, Ni, W, V, or Fe, or mixtures thereof, as a fourth accessory component, and Si as a fifth accessory component.

A dielectric composition contains: a base material powder containing BaTiO(0.995&#x2264;m&#x2264;1.010); a first accessory ingredient containing at least one element corresponding to a transition metal in Group 5 of the periodic table in a total content of 0.3 to 1.2 moles; a second accessory ingredient containing one of ions, oxides, carbides, and hydrates of Si in a content of 0.6 to 4.5 moles; a third accessory ingredient containing at least one element in Period 4 or higher; and a fourth accessory ingredient containing at least one element in Period 3, wherein 0.70&#xd7;B&#x2264;C+D&#x2264;1.50&#xd7;B and 0.20&#x2264;D/(C+D)&#x2264;0.80, in which B is a total content of the second accessory ingredient, C is a total content of the third accessory ingredient, and D is a total content of the fourth accessory ingredient.

There are provided a dielectric ceramic composition and a multilayer ceramic capacitor containing the same. The dielectric ceramic composition according to the present disclosure may contain a main base material ingredient and a first accessory ingredient, wherein the first accessory ingredient contains samarium (Sm) and other rare earth (RE) elements, and a ratio (a/b) of a content (a) of samarium (Sm) to a content (b) of other rare earth elements in the first accessory ingredient satisfies 0.1&#x2266;a/b&#x2266;2.0.

A dielectric composition includes a main ingredient and accessory ingredients. Dielectric ceramic composition and multilayer ceramic capacitor including the same

A dielectric ceramic composition including a base material represented by (Ba+RE)mTiO(here, 0.995&#x2266;m&#x2266;1.010, 0.001&#x3c;x&#x3c;0.010, and RE is at least one rare earth (RE) atom selected from a group consisting of Dy, Y, Ho, Sm, and Gd) or Ba(Ti+RE)O(here, 0.995&#x2266;m&#x2266;1.010, 0.001&#x3c;x&#x3c;0.010, and RE is at least one RE atom selected from a group consisting of Dy, Y, Ho, Sm, and Gd) as a main component, and a multi-layer ceramic capacitor using the same. In the dielectric ceramic composition, high permittivity (dielectric constant of 1800 or more) and high temperature reliability may be secured by using a RE atom doped/solid-solubilized base material and adding oxides, which are sub-components.
