In a method of manufacturing a backlight assembly, a light reflective and heat-radiating sheet including a light reflective sheet layer to reflect light and a heat-radiating sheet layer are prepared. The heat-radiating sheet layer includes a coupling layer integrally formed with a surface of the light reflective sheet layer and heat-diffusing particles are dispersed in the coupling layer to diffuse heat provided from the exterior. The light reflective and heat-radiating sheet is disposed so that the coupling layer is adhered to a bottom plate of a receiving container. Thus, impurities may be prevented and/or reduced, and assembling efficiency may be improved.

Backlight assembly, display device having the backlight assembly and method of manufacturing the same

A lamp socket includes a body receiving a lamp, and a power supplying member disposed inside the body, the power supplying member a conductive elastomer, the power supplying member electrically interconnecting the lamp and an inverter substrate on which an inverter is mounted. The power supplying member includes a lamp connector receiving a lead wire of the lamp, and an inverter connector formed integrally with the lamp connector, wherein the inverter connector receives a protrusion of the inverter substrate to encircle the protrusion.

Backlight assembly including lamp socket with elastomeric conductor

A backlight assembly includes at least one light-generating board, a light source driving board and a coupling board. The light-generating board generates light. The light source driving board provides control signals to the light-generating board. The coupling board is coupled via slot connectors to the light-generating board and the light source driving board to electrically connect the light-generating board and the light source driving board to each other. Thus, manufacturing efficiency may be improved in comparison with electrically connecting the light-generating board and the light source driving board through wires.

Backlight assembly and display device having the same

Provided is a backlight assembly which includes integral power supply sockets and ground sockets, in which the number of parts is reduced in addition to the manufacturing cost. The backlight assembly includes a lamp including a lamp tube and an electrode that protrudes beyond either end of the lamp tube, a power supply socket including a first plate that has a first guide groove through which the electrode is inserted and a plate spring that is disposed on one side of the first plate and fixes the electrode in the first guide groove by pressurizing the electrode, and a bottom chassis containing the lamp and the power supply socket therein, in which the first plate and the plate spring are formed of a conductive material.

Backlight assembly

A lamp socket includes a socket housing and a plurality of power supply members. The socket housing has a plurality of connecting holes extended in a vertical direction. The power supply members are disposed in the connecting holes, respectively, and each of the power supply members includes a plurality of lamp connecting parts and an inverter connecting part. The lamp connecting parts are protruded from an upper surface of the socket housing and include first and second portions facing each other. The inverter connecting part is integrally formed with the lamp connecting parts, and is protruded from a lower surface of the socket housing.

A lamp socket that can reduce the thickness of both sides of a display device includes a socket main body having a contact hole formed therein, and a power-applying member coupled to the socket main body through the contact hole, and provided with a lamp connection terminal, an inverter connection terminal, and a terminal connection part connected with the lamp connection terminal in a bent form so as to connect the lamp connection terminal with the inverter connection terminal. Accordingly, the thickness of both sides of the display device including the lamp sockets is reduced, and the compatibility of the product is extended.

Lamp socket, backlight assembly and display device having the same

A backlight assembly includes a container, a plurality of lamps and a lamp-fixing member. The container includes a bottom face and side faces extending therefrom that define a receiving space. The lamps are arranged in parallel with each other in the container. The lamp-fixing member includes a support body installed in the container and arranged in a direction intersecting a lengthwise direction of extension of each of the lamps, a lamp-fixing portion protruding from the support body and covering a respective lamp, and a boss protruding from an inner face of the lamp-fixing portion and extending toward a center of the respective lamp to fix the respective lamp with a corresponding lamp-fixing portion via a point or line contact. Thus, a local decrease in temperature of the lamp covered by the lamp-fixing portion may be prevented to improve image display quality by preventing or eliminating dark spots.

A backlight assembly includes an optical unit including a lamp unit emitting light. The backlight assembly also includes a receiving container. The receiving container includes a plurality of side walls, a bottom plate separably combined with the side walls, and a combining element for combining the side walls with the bottom plate. The receiving container receives the optical unit in a receiving space defined by the side walls, the bottom plate, and the combining element.

Backlight assembly, display apparatus having the same and method for manufacturing the backlight assembly

A display device includes a display panel displaying an image, a backlight assembly providing the display panel with light, a receiving container, and a light-blocking member. The backlight assembly includes a light source, an optical sheet disposed over the light source and a light-reflecting sheet disposed under the light source. The receiving container includes a bottom plate having an opening portion, and defines a receiving space for receiving the display panel and the backlight assembly. The light-blocking member is disposed at a backside surface of the light-reflecting sheet. Therefore, heat generated from the light source is easily dissipated through the opening to enhance display quality.

Heat-dissipating display device and method of manufacturing thereof

A lamp driving circuit includes: a voltage supply part including a first voltage supply part and a second voltage supply part; a first circuit part including a first terminal, a second terminal and a first coil; a second circuit part including a second coil electromagnetically coupled to the first coil and which supplies a voltage to a lamp; and an electric current detecting part which detects an electric current of the first coil and includes a detecting resistor and an electric current detector.
