A target sight system includes a base portion with a gun-mounting interface allowing the sight to be firmly fastened to a shooting device. The base also includes a power supply, a target light generator, and a light-passing surface through which the target light passes between the target light generator and a target. The sight system also includes a cover that is detachably removable from the base portion.

An accessory for a firearm includes a deflector integrated into the accessory and structured to alter a path of discharge gasses and/or debris after such gasses and debris are emitted from the firearm when the firearm is discharged. The deflector may be sized and shaped to alter a path of discharge gasses and/or debris after such gasses and debris pass a Loaded Chamber Indicator (LCI) of the firearm. The LCI indicates a presence of a cartridge within a firing chamber of the firearm, but openings within and around the LCI also provide a path for hot gasses and debris to strike accessories, which causes fouling and other deterioration.

A sighting device includes a base portion structured to be mounted to a gun, a battery powered accessory, and a battery receiver structured to contain a battery for the battery powered accessory. The battery receiver has a closed position in which the battery receiver is contained within the base portion as well as an open position in which the battery receiver is at least partially separated from the base portion. The sighting device includes a manually operated release button that, when pressed, causes the battery receiver to be released from the closed position.

Embodiments herein relate to the field of weapon accessories, and, more specifically, to modular, electrically powered weapon accessories. Various embodiments include powered modular vertical foregrips that may serve as platforms for multiple firearms accessories, such as modular laser and/or LED lighting and/or sighting systems, radiofrequency receiver and/or transmitter systems, and/or other powered accessories. Various embodiments may be adapted to couple to a mounting rail, such as a Picatinny or Weaver rail, and particular embodiments may be adapted to couple to a lower hand guard quad-rail of an M4 or other small arms weapon. Systems in accordance with various embodiments may provide a platform that may consolidate multiple accessory devices and functions into a single ergonomic and compact unit. Thus, in some embodiments, systems disclosed herein may greatly reduce the size and weight of the total accessory package, and may provide an extremely ergonomic platform that is much easier to manage before, during, and after operations.
