The lever is configured to facilitate a transition of the plug connector between the engaged position and a disengaged position. The lever engages the plug connector when in the engaged position and does not engage the plug connector when in the disengaged position.

Thereafter, the hot beverage brewer: automatically detects the brew basket type associated with the brew basket residing within the basket chamber; selects first operations from a plurality of operations that should be performed by the hot beverage brewer based on the brew basket type which was previously detected; and performs the first operations by the hot beverage brewer.

An apparatus for heating hot beverage containers includes a housing having an upper end, a lower end, and a sidewall extending between the upper and lower ends of the housing. The upper end of the sidewall has oppositely disposed, downwardly curving portions that define oppositely disposed openings at the upper end of said housing. The apparatus includes a heater assembly located at the lower end of the housing. The apparatus has a controller including an electrical circuit in communication with the heater assembly, and a switch located on the sidewall of the housing for activating the heater assembly. A hot beverage container with an insulating sleeve is inserted into the housing. A sidewall of the container engages the switch and a bottom wall of the container is in thermal communication with the heater assembly. The heater assembly heats liquid in the container through the bottom wall of the container.

Portable heating devices for hot beverage containers having insulating sleeves

A hot beverage brewing apparatus. A pressurized hot liquid delivery system provides liquid under pressure within a range of acceptable brewing temperatures without any mechanical pump. Water is apportioned into sealable tank volumes, one of which is heated to boil the liquid and produce steam under pressure. The pressurized steam displaces the liquid from the tank volumes in proportion and at a temperature that is within the acceptable brewing range. The hot liquid under pressure is directed to a capsule receiving station to infuse a material in a capsule. The capsule dispenses the brewed beverage without contacting the brewing apparatus.

Hot beverage brewing apparatus

A hot beverage brewing apparatus including a pressurized hot water delivery system to provide liquid under pressure within a range of acceptable infusion temperatures without a water pump. A fresh water tank is situated above a water heater in liquid communication to maintain the water heater filled. Water in the water heater is kept at a pre-infusion temperature. When infusion process is to commence the user selects volume of water to be dispensed into infusion material, water is rapidly heated to infusion temperature and displaced from water heater by pressurised air from air pump. At the end of the brew cycle the air pump is stopped and a valve connects the water heater to atmospheric pressure to facilitate water flow from the fresh water tank into the water heater. After the infusion process an air valve may direct air from the air pump to the infusible material to dry it for ease of disposal.

A sealed capsule for use in apparatus including a capsule receiving station and a water delivery system for brewing a hot beverage in which a hot liquid under pressure infuses a material. A capsule base has a concave bottom floor with angularly spaced structural ribs that form channels for directing brewed beverage to a sharpened spout. A collar surrounds the dispensing spout. A foil attaches to the collar to overlie the spout. A filter lies on the structural ribs. Infusible material lies on the filter. A water distribution plate overlies the infusible material. A cover closes the base unit and includes a water inlet. As the capsule seats in the capsule receiving station, the foil seal is forced over the sharpened spout to rupture and enable brewed beverage to be dispersed. A probe of the water delivery system also penetrates the cover to direct water into the capsule without contacting the infusible material or the brewed beverage.

A hot beverage maker produces a brewed beverage in a sealed infusion compartment. An air pump and selector establish a first flow path by which a pressure differential established by the air pump displaces water from a container, through a heater to the infusion compartment and then to a brewed beverage container. A second flow path produces a pressure in the brewed beverage container that displaces brewed beverage out a delivery spout.

Electrical appliance for preparing, storing and dispensing hot beverages

Automatic apparatus for brewing a hot beverage. A control system causes a heater that is integral with a beverage container to elevate the water temperature to a predetermined brewing temperature while infusible material in an infuser basket is isolated from the liquid. When the brewing temperature is achieved, the controller causes a positioner assembly to submerge the infuser basket in the heated liquid. The control system maintains the liquid at a predetermined brewing temperature. After a predetermined brewing interval, the control system causes the positioner assembly to raise the infuser basket thereby to isolate the infusible material from the brewed beverage. Thereafter the control system may maintain the beverage temperature at an optimal serving temperature.

Method and apparatus for brewing hot beverages

A hair straightener device encompasses a straightening tool that is comb-like. The straightening tool has a row of tines that are spaced apart respectively to each other by one hair receptacle. Each tine is associated with at least one first molded partthat is movably mounted. It is movably supported relative to the additional tine that surrounds the hair receptacle. The straightening tool furthermore surrounds a second molded part which is associated with the additional tine that surrounds this hair receptacle. This serves the implementation of a hair shaping gap between the molded parts of a hair receptacle. The hair shaping gaps that are located between the molded parts are undercut at least in the hair shaping position of the molded parts toward one another in the direction toward the border, of the hair receptacle, that connects the tines.

Hair straightener

A toaster in which spaced, vertically oriented heating assemblies are nested within a cover that pivots between open and closed positions. In the open position, an consumer can add food slices to or remove toasted food slices from baskets in the toaster remotely from the heating assemblies. When the cover closes, the heating assemblies pivot to be positioned on both sides of the baskets. When energized, the heating assemblies toast the food slices.
