The present invention relates to a mixture of polyalkylsiloxanes that cure at temperatures of about 170&#xb0; C. while being unreactive under ambient conditions during storage or transport and which are obtained through a hydrosilylation reaction wherein a mixture of ethylenically unsaturated olefins consisting of 1-100% of one or more polyene(s), and 0-99 mol % of monounsaturated olefins with 6 to 15 carbon atoms is reacted with an amount of one or more polyalkylhydrosiloxanes in the presence of a hydrosilylation catalyst. Furthermore, the present invention relates to water-based compositions suitable for use in metal casting processes as a mold release agent comprising a mixture of polyalkylsiloxanes of the invention and a non-ionic surfactant. In addition, the present invention relates to the use of the polyalkylsiloxanes and mixtures of polyalkylsiloxanes as defined herein.

Modified silicon oil for low temperature cure die casting lubricants

The present invention relates to a mixture of polyalkylsiloxanes obtainable through a hydrosilylation reaction wherein a mixture of monounsaturated olefins is reacted with an amount of one or more polyalkylhydrosiloxanes in the presence of a hydrosilylation catalyst. Furthermore, the invention concerns polyalkylsiloxane comprising alkyl side chains consisting of linear or branched alkyl groups with 40 to 60 carbon atoms, with 16 to 30 carbon atoms, and 6 to 15 carbon atoms. In addition, the present invention relates to water-based compositions suitable for use in metal casting processes as a mold release agent comprising a mixture of polyalkylsiloxanes, a non-ionic surfactant having a HLB value of at least 8, and less than 20 wt.-% of waxes. In addition, the present invention relates to the use of the polyalkylsiloxanes and mixtures of polyalkylsiloxanes.

Modified silicon oil for wax-free die casting lubricants

A substantially lead-free lubricant for use in hot forging of metals, especially forging of aluminum and aluminum alloy components. The lubricant comprises one or more oils, graphite, and one or more phosphorus-based additives. Additional additives, such as metallic lubricants and dispersants may also be included. The lubricant does not burn when subjected to temperatures in excess of 300&#xb0; C.

Lubricant for hot forging applications

The invention provides a sprayer for spraying mold wall treatment agent or another liquid. The liquid is sprayed onto, for example, the walls of a mold or some other article. The sprayer includes a spray element body and a rotor mounted with freedom to rotate around an axis of rotation in the spray element body. An atomizing element is attached to one end of the rotor. A first feed line for mold wall treatment agent or another liquid to be sprayed is provided, as well as a second feed line for control air which directs mold wall treatment agent atomized by the atomizing element in the desired spray direction.

A water-free composition for treating the walls of a die for original shaping or reshaping contains up to 30% of a polyolefin and/or paraffin wax and at least 70% of oil, where the oil is a silicone oil, a synthetic oil, a vegetable oil, a mineral oil, or a blend of several such oils. To produce a water-free composition according to the invention, one or more waxes are mixed with the oil or oils and any additives desired until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. The water-free release/lubricating agents according to the invention are used especially to treat the walls of a die for shaping or reshaping.
