A method and a system are described for detection of anomalies in surfaces, such as pipes. The method includes receiving an input comprising surface material type and plurality of frames of a real-time video stream associated with the surface. The method includes eliminating unwanted frames based on magnitude of 2-Dimensional optical flow vectors of the plurality of frames. The method includes identifying potential anomaly frames based on contours in a dense map created using a magnitude of displacement of each pixel of a frame. The method includes detecting in real-time anomalies in anomaly frames from potential anomaly frames based on trained models selected from a Model Mapping Table. The method includes classifying anomalies in the anomaly frames into anomaly classes using one or more deep learning techniques. The method includes generating a health report comprising anomalies in anomaly frames associated with the surface and providing health report to a user.

Method and system for detection of anomalies in surfaces

A method and system for measuring, determining and/or analyzing the cranking RPM of a vehicle is provided. The system measures the voltage of at least a portion of a vehicle's electrical system to determine high and/or low voltage time periods during at least a portion of a starting or cranking cycle. The time between high and/or low voltage points can then be used, along with the number of cylinders in the vehicle, to determine the cranking RPM of the vehicle. The system may include a load module and a control module that are removably coupled to one another in first and second configurations.

Electrical testing system and method

A device to limit pre-rotation of fluid across turbomachinery regions where significant pressure differentials exist between rotating and non-rotating components. In one form, the present invention is particularly applicable to centrifugal-based turbomachinery. Of particular concern is that the highly-energized fluid exiting an impeller or related rotating member can impart significant swirl velocity and related rotordynamic forces which in turn may impact rotor stability. The potential for such instability is particularly high when flow coming from an impeller discharge permeates a seal, bushing or related component that is used to fluidly separate the impeller from an upstage partition. The present invention replaces traditional bushing seal designs at swirl-prone regions with a vaned anti-swirl bushing that fits within the housing without increasing the axial or radial dimensions of the housing.

A mode shifting apparatus for a decoking tool, a decoking tool and method of operating same. The apparatus includes features to make it rotatably and translationally responsive to changes in pressure of a decoking fluid such that the apparatus is cooperative with the tool and the decoking fluid in a first operating condition to establish a drilling mode with one or more of the tool's drilling nozzles, and in a second operating condition to establish a cutting mode with one or more of the tool's cutting nozzles. In one form, the apparatus includes one or more sets of tandem seals disposed along a component interface within the apparatus or between the apparatus and the tool to help redundantly isolate seizure-sensitive components within the apparatus from the pressurized decoking fluid. In another form, the apparatus includes a gas spring to counteract the forces imposed by the pressurized decoking fluid. In another form, the apparatus includes a manual override connection.

Portable projection screen assemblies include: (a) a roller housing holding a roller with a flexible projection screen; (b) at least one substantially laterally extending screen support arm attached to the roller housing, the at least one screen support arm being configured to hold an outer edge portion of the flexible projection screen when the projection screen is in a laterally extended configuration; and (c) an outer housing case having an interior cavity sized and configured to hold the roller housing therein in a storage configuration. The roller housing is hingeably or releasably attached to the housing case and resides substantially vertically above the outer case in an operative position, whereby the outer housing case defines a support base adapted to reside on a support surface.

Portable front projection screens include: (a) a first panel having opposing primary outer and inner surfaces, the first panel having at least first and second portions that are foldable relative to each other so as to be oriented at an angle relative to each other in an open configuration and closed to a coplanar flat configuration; and (b) a second panel foldably attached to the first panel and having opposing outer and inner primary surfaces. The second panel inner surface comprises a high gain, high Ambient Rejection Ratio projection screen that extends over a major portion of the inner surface. In a closed configuration, the first and second panels reside adjacent and substantially parallel to each other. The first and second panels cooperate to open to a user viewing configuration whereby the second panel is substantially vertical with the projection screen oriented to face forward toward a user and the second portion of the first panel defines a substantially horizontal base with the first portion of the first panel angled upwardly and inwardly from the horizontal base toward the substantially vertical second panel.

Portable projection screen assemblies include a case comprising a flexible projector screen held on a roller, the screen has a high ARR and a high-gain and can be adapted for use in uncontrolled indoor ambient lighting conditions. The case is configured with releasably matable first and second housing members and a slidably collapsible frame that slides open in a side-to-side orientation and unrolls the projector screen to at least one predetermined viewing configuration and closes together to encase the screen and frame therein. The projector screens may be particularly suitable for use with low-lumen projectors.
