A stacked moisture sensing device and urinary continence monitoring system are disclosed. The stacked moisture sensing device has at least a first media-sensor arrangement adjacent to a second media-sensor arrangement. In one embodiment, each of the media-sensor arrangements has a media layer with a first face, a second face and a side edge that extends between the faces wherein the media layers have differing hydrophilicities. Embedded in each media layer is a moisture sensor which can be a wired type tensor or a wireless RFID type sensor. The stacked moisture sensing device can be used in a variety of applications, such as for use in urinary continence monitoring and for use in shipping containers. In urinary continence monitoring applications, a data collection unit can be provided to acquire data from the sensors, which are located in an absorbent undergarment. Methods for locating the sensors within the absorbent undergarment are also disclosed.

Stacked moisture sensing device

Systems and methods for analyzing the gait of an individual are disclosed. The disclosed systems and methods can be configured to acquire data from a first array and a second array of sensors that are configured to be placed in a left and/or right shoe, respectively. The acquired data can be collected or separated into at least two separate gait phases for each array, compared to a baseline condition for each gait phase and categorized into one of at least two uniformity categories for each gait phase. Examples of collected and/or calculated data include pressure values, shear stress values and torque values. The analysis can be focused on both feet of a person, or focused on one foot. A graphical output showing at least one entire gait cycle based on the uniformity categories can then be generated.

Gait analysis system and methods

In one embodiment, a method for testing a helmet comprising the steps of: placing a strike helmet on a first headform; placing a target helmet on a second headform, colliding the strike helmet against the target helmet; and measuring the acceleration of the second headform caused by the collision. In a second embodiment, an apparatus for testing a helmet comprising: a strike helmet placed on a first headform; a target helmet placed on a second headform; a motion device for moving the strike helmet to collide with the target helmet.

In one embodiment, a display comprising: a sleeve having a first guide; a movable member that moves in relation to the sleeve, the movable member having a second guide; and a slider slidably secured to the first guide and slidably secured to the second guide; whereby movement of the member causes the first guide and the second guide to cooperate in directing movement of the slider. In another embodiment, a display comprising: a sheet having a front side and a back side; a rotatable member positioned on the front side' of the sheet; a wheel positioned on the back side of the sheet; a shaft extending through the sheet, the shaft joining the rotatable member to the wheel; and a member slidable in relation to the sheet and to the wheel, the member having a surface for contacting the wheel and causing the wheel and the rotatable member to rotate when the member slides.
