A headlamp assembly includes a light-emitting element, a primary power source, and a secondary power source. The primary power source can include disposable batteries, and the secondary power source can include a rechargeable battery. The headlamp assembly features a sliding switch mechanism located on the back of the headlamp assembly, allowing the user to select the desired power source. The light source may be a light-emitting diode (LED). The sliding switch mechanism moves left and right to switch between the rechargeable power source and the alkaline power source, providing the user with the flexibility to choose the power source that suits their specific requirements or preferences at any given time.

The base can be configured to illuminate the base light emitting element when the lantern is detached from the base, and de-illuminate the base light emitting element when the lantern is detachably attached to the base.

Detachable lantern lighting device

Various embodiments for a headlamp having a detachable flashlight are disclosed. The headlamp includes a head guard and a detachable flashlight. The head guard is adapted to be worn on a head of an operator, and includes a first battery, a first electrical contact, and a first magnet. The detachable flashlight is configured to detachably attach to the head guard, and includes a second battery, a second electrical contact and a second magnet. When the second magnet is positioned near the first magnet, the detachable flashlight magnetically couples to the head guard and aligns the second electrical contact with the first electrical contact/The head guard includes processing circuitry configured to provide power to and charge the second battery of the detachable flashlight in an instance in which the detachable flashlight is coupled to the head guard.

Disclosed are various embodiments for a lighting system. The lighting system may include a headguard adapted to be worn on a head of an operator, where the headguard comprising a headguard cavity, as well as an elongated flashlight base comprising a flashlight base cavity. A detachable flashlight head is adapted to be positioned in either of the headguard cavity and the flashlight base cavity. The detachable flashlight is sized and positioned such that, when positioned in the headguard cavity, the detachable flashlight magnetically and electrically couples to the headguard. Similarly, the detachable flashlight is sized and positioned such that, when positioned in the flashlight base cavity, the detachable flashlight magnetically and electrically couples to the elongated flashlight base.

Headlamp assembly

Disclosed are various embodiments for a lighting device that can include be removably attached to a head guard to form a headlamp system, or other dock. The lighting device includes a battery, a light emitting element, and a lighting device body comprising an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve. The outer sleeve is adapted to slide relative to the inner sleeve along the light device body to toggle the lighting device between (a) an area light mode of operation where light of the light emitting element emits from sides of the lighting device body, and (b) a flashlight mode of operation where light of the light emitting element emits only from a front of the lighting device.

Various embodiments for a headlamp having a detachable flashlight are disclosed. The headlamp can include a head guard ergonomically contoured to be worn on a head of an operator, for instance, using one or more straps. The head guard can include a cavity, where the cavity includes a first electrical contact and a first magnet positioned therein. The detachable flashlight is adapted to be positioned in the cavity of the head guard. The detachable flashlight can include a second electrical contact and a second magnet. The first magnet is sized and positioned to orient a rear face of the detachable flashlight to align the second electrical contact of the detachable flashlight with the second electrical contact positioned in the cavity.
