A modular, non-metallic enclosure with a first enclosure having an open end between first and second side panels and a second enclosure having an open end between third and fourth side panels. At the open end of the first enclosure, the first and second side panels each include a guide rail having a male guiderail member and a female guiderail channel. At the open end of the second enclosure, the third and fourth side panels each include a guide rail having a male guiderail member and a female guiderail channel. The male guiderail member/female guiderail channel of the first sidewall are configured to engage with the opposite of the male guiderail member/female guiderail channel of the third side wall. The male guiderail member/female guiderail channel of the second sidewall are configured to engage with the opposite of the male guiderail member/female guiderail channel of the fourth side panel.

Modular wall mount enclosure

An electrical module provides a plug receptacle for AC power and also converts AC power into DC power and provides DC output. The module may also provide one or more multimedia connectors. DC power may be provided from one module to another such that a single DC power supply may supply DC power for multiple modules.

A rack mountable security enclosure includes a top panel, a bottom panel, a first side cable rack perpendicular to and extending between the top and bottom panels, a second side cable rack perpendicular to and extending between the top and bottom panels, the top and bottom panels and the first and second side cable racks forming an opening providing access to electronic equipment when the rack mountable security enclosure is mounted to an equipment rack and a lockable door covering the opening.

An electrical connector adapted to receive a mating plug utilizes low-profile jack terminal contacts that can flex in their PCB-anchored base portions, which are substantially parallel to the PCB. Any bend in the distal connecting portion or in the intermediate transition portion of each terminal contact is gradual and forms an obtuse angle, thus minimizing stress concentrations. The contacts preferably are arranged in two oppositely facing and interdigitating rows of four contacts each. In one embodiment, the terminal contacts are anchored to the PCB by a contact cradle that constrains the base portion of each terminal contact at two spaced anchoring locations, allowing the base portion to flex therebetween. In another embodiment, the base portions of the terminal contacts are embedded in at least one elastomeric member, which is fitted to the PCB.

A cable management device and assembly includes an electrical structure having plurality of connectors for receiving connectors of a plurality of cables. A fixed support bar is spaced from and aligned with the connectors. A plurality of cable retainer members are coupled to the support bar for managing and aligning the bundle of cables coupled to the connectors. The cable retainers have a first open recess at a first end with a central axis extending in first direction, and a second open recess at a second end with a central axis extending in a second direction perpendicular to the first central axis. The first open recess mates with the support bar to slide along the length of the bar and rotate or pivot around the bar to orient the cables in a selected position and pattern. The second open recess has a dimension for coupling with the respective cable.

Cable management device

An electrical jack includes a housing having an opening in a front face thereof. A cavity in the housing receives a plug inserted through the opening. A plurality of contact pins are disposed in the housing. A relief pocket is disposed rearwardly of the front face. First and second guide rails are disposed in the housing to guide a non-complementary plug into the relief pocket to substantially prevent damage to the plurality of contact pins.

Method of making a communications jack

An electrical box extender assembly includes an electrical box having four side walls, and a back wall defining a cavity therein. A first of the four side walls of the box includes a first projection extending substantially transversely of the cavity. A substantially tubular extender having a first side wall including a first flange extending transversely thereon, and a tubular base extending transversely thereof. The first flange and tubular base are spaced from one another and a first fastener extends through the first projection, first flange and tubular base to couple the tubular extender to the electrical box.

A door catch arrangement for cable enclosures incorporates magnetic catch components on the door and on an adjacent open-ended, flared, radius-limiting cable guide installed in at least one open-ended cable port of the enclosure. The cable guide itself covers the rim of the cable port and has two spaced legs, each leg having an end face disposed at the open end of the cable port. A recess in one of the end faces holds a magnet. In its closed position, the door blocks the end of the cable port and a ferromagnetic catch portion on the door opposes the magnet, which keeps the door closed. The positions of the magnet and the ferromagnetic catch portion can be reversed.

A stuffer cap includes a body member and a plurality of strain relief members extending outwardly from the body member to engage wires terminated at a patch panel of a rack system. A plurality of first latching members extend outwardly from the body member to engage the patch panel. A plurality of second latching members extend outwardly from the body member to engage the patch panel. The plurality of second latching members are oriented differently from the plurality of first latching members.

A multi-port telecommunications connector panel has an electrically conductive housing that defines a plurality of ports, each with a plug receiving cavity aligned with a respective set of jack contacts. The housing surrounds the sets of jack contacts individually and collectively to separate and isolate adjacent ports. Electrically conductive isolation barriers, which are electrically connected to and may be integral with the housing, separate adjacent sets of insulation displacement contacts, which are arranged in an offset pattern.

Telecommunications connector panel with interport crosstalk isolation

A conductive cover or shield for reducing crosstalk between a plurality of connectors arranged adjacent one another. A cover having a non-conductive interior surface and a conductive outer surface. The non-conductive surface is adhered to the exterior surface of a connector or a plurality of IDC towers for preventing crosstalk between adjacent connectors. Also, the cover can be form fitted and secured to the connectors, specifically, adhering to the corners to insulate any loose wires.
