An airbag system includes an airbag with a vent hole formed therein, an actuator operatively coupled to the airbag, and a vent hole cover operatively coupled to the airbag so as to cover the vent hole and so as to form an enclosure extending between the actuator and the vent hole.

Active vent actuation system

An airbag module is provided. The airbag module may include an inflator, an inflatable airbag, a housing and a cover. The cover may include a retainer hook and a snap-lock configured to engage the housing.

An airbag module includes an inflatable cushion, an inflator configured to provide inflation gas for inflating the cushion, and a diffuser for directing the inflation gas from the inflator into the airbag. The diffuser is tubular and includes a first opening at one end for connecting to the inflator. The diffuser includes second and third openings located at the other end of the diffuser so that inflation gas is distributed into the inflatable cushion in two different directions.
