A workload resource device Service Level Agreement (SLA) failure remediation system includes a resource management system coupled to resource devices. The resource management system receives a workload intent for performing a workload associated with SLA(s), and generates a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) that identifies a first resource device and second resource device(s) for performing the workload. Based on the DAG, the resource management system configures the first resource device and the second resource device(s) to perform the workload, and stores the DAG in at least one database. If the resource management system determines that the first resource device is not satisfying the SLA(s) during the performance of the workload, it uses a portion of the DAG associated with the first resource device to configure at least one of the resource devices to operate with the second resource device(s) to subsequently perform the workload such that the SLA(s) are satisfied.

An LCS/NVMe/TCP storage target system includes a storage system having a storage controller, host systems that are coupled to the storage system, and a resource management system that is coupled to the storage system and the host systems. The resource management system provides a first LCS using a first host system, and configures the first host system and the storage controller to present a first namespace provided by the storage system to the first LCS via first Host NVMe Qualified Name(s) (HNQN(s)). The resource management system then moves the first LCS to a second host system, removes the first HNQN(s) from the storage controller and the first host system, and configures the second host system and the storage controller to present the first namespace provided by the storage system to the first LCS via second HNQN(s).

An LCS trust system includes resource devices including respective resource device pTPMs, and an SCP device including an SCP device pTPM and providing a resource management system with a resource management system vTPM. The resource management system uses the resource management system vTPM to establish a first trust relationship with the SCP device via the SCP device pTPM, and respective second trust relationships with each of the resource devices via their respective resource device pTPMs. The resource management system the uses a subset of the resource devices to provide an LCS that includes an LCS vTPM and that uses the LCS vTPM to establish a respective third trust relationship with each of the subset of the resource devices via their respective resource device pTPMs. As such, a chain of trust is provided for the LCS that is based at least upon the first, respective second, and respective third trust relationships.

The orchestrator device uses a first subset of the resource devices to provide an LCS to the client system based on a workload intent provided by the client system, associates the LCS with a client identifier for the client system, and tags each of the first subset of the resource devices being used to provide the LCS with the client identifier. The orchestrator device then identifies a LCS policy for the LCS and applies the LCS policy to each of the first subset of the resource devices tagged with the client identifier to cause the LCS policy to be enforced on the client system and the LCS provisioning administrator device.

Currently, there is no scalable methodologies defined to locate a namespace on an NVMe-oF fabric. Therefore, it is necessary to configure a host with the NVMe™ Qualified Name (NQN) and transport information of the storage subsystem where the boot namespace is located or discover and enumerate all namespaces available to the host on an NVMe-oF fabric. With the current protocols, a host may need to perform many operations to locate the proper namespace and boot from the NVMe-oF fabric, making booting in a SAN environment an extremely slow operation and computationally expensive process. Embodiments herein support discovery, via a discovery controller, to provide a namespace resolution service able to facilitate a host to efficiently resolve a given namespace identifier to the corresponding subsystem port(s) through which that namespace is accessible.

When the orchestrator device receives LCS communication(s) directed to the LCS from the client device via the external fabric, it provides instruction(s) to at least one of the resource devices via the internal fabric that are based on the LCS communication and that are configured to cause the at least one of the resource devices to perform function(s) for the LCS.

An LCS resource device access control and management system having a resource system including an orchestrator device coupled to a resource management system and resource devices. The orchestrator device receives an identification from the resource management system of the resource devices for providing an LCS, and Service Level Agreement (SLA) information defining an SLA for the LCS. The orchestrator device uses the SLA information for the LCS to monitor each of the resource devices during their providing of the LCS and, in response, identifies a first resource device that is performing first resource device functionality that is not satisfying the SLA for the LCS. In response, the orchestrator device provides the LCS using a second resource device that performs second resource device functionality that satisfies the SLA for the LCS in place of the first resource device.
