A retention structure for retaining a heat generating component to a heat dissipating substrate. The heat generating component has a heat transfer surface and an opposing biasing surface, and the heat dissipating substrate has opposing first and second sides. The retention structure has a generally U-shaped retention body including an elongated base having opposing ends, and legs extending from the ends of the base. Each of the legs includes a positioning slot. The substrate includes a pair of passages for receiving the legs therethrough, and a pin structure is positioned on the substrate and extends through the positioning slots in the legs to locate the base of the retention body adjacent to the biasing surface and effect a biasing of the heat transfer surface toward the substrate.

Retention structure for heat generating component

An electric vehicle seat storage structure for moving a seat between a seating position and a storage position is provided. The seat storage structure includes a frame having an axle positioned along a rear portion of the cushion and having a seat gear mounted to the axle. An actuator is provided for moving the seat between a seating position and a storage position. The actuator has an output gear positioned about an output shaft that is defined along the longitudinal axis of the actuator. The actuator is mounted within a portion of the frame, such that the output gear and the seat gear are meshed thereto, and such that the axis of the actuator is substantially parallel to the axle of the seat storage frame. Wherein when the seat is moved between the seating position and the storage position, the actuator is moved therewith.

A system and method for facilitating the reduction or elimination of end play associated with an armature in an electric motor is disclosed. The system and method utilize an end play assembly which includes a housing having an integrally molded lock for retaining a screw in an unengaged and locked position. The end play assembly also includes a coil spring which urges the screw towards an engaged and unlocked position when the end play assembly is mounted in a housing of the electric motor. The lock includes at least one wing portion which engages a notch on the housing of the electric motor such that when the end play assembly is mounted in the motor housing, the notch forces the lock into the unlocked position which releases the screw so that the spring can urge, rotate or screw the screw to cause a screw end to be forced into engagement with the end of an armature of the electric motor. Advantageously, the end play assembly continuously and automatically adjusts for the end play to reduce or entirely eliminate any end play.
