The present disclosure relates generally to building surface products, for example, panels suitable for forming a building surface. The present disclosure relates more particularly to a building surface product including a gypsum panel with an upper edge that overlaps a lower edge of a neighboring gypsum panel.

Interlocking gypsum building surface products, methods of manufacture, and interlocking gypsum building surface systems

A corner trim material that is made of a material that will bond with current industry mastics such as all purpose joint compounds, resists impact, resists abrasion, and readily accepts common coatings such as drywall mud, texture and paints. The surface of this material generally does not need to be covered by any secondary fiber based material such as paper to improve bonding or coating on the inside or outside. The material generally consists of a polymer mixed with a fibrous material like pulp or glass fiber. A corner trim piece can be directly extruded from the mix. The corner trim piece can have a center hinge, can be bullnose, and the flanges can optionally have holes or optionally be coated with adhesive.

An improved corner trim material construction such that a pair of flanges of the material, normally approximately perpendicular to one another, may 'flex', or change angle, relative to one another and the apex, or nose, of the material allowing the flanges to lay flat against the wall surface adjacent the corner onto which they are being bonded or attached. The present invention can use a single, twin or tri-hinge created by a groove running end-to-end to allow flexing.

A drywall tape or trim dispensing tool of the type similar to those sold under the name BAZOOKA with an elongated handle and a tape or trim dispensing head. The head can contain a blade coupled to a power mechanism such as a spring, hydraulic or electric energy source where the blade can be placed into a cocked position by a cocking mechanism and then triggered by a pull on a remote trigger located on the handle. After the device is cocked, the user can dispense tape or trim to a desired length and then cut it exactly by a simple trigger pull.

A drywall tool for dispensing flexible trim material such as FLEXTRIM and ULTRALITE products, or any other flexible trim material, containing a head attached to an elongated handle, a drive wheel attached to the head for pulling the trim material from a roll, at least one roller for pressing the trim material into an interior or exterior corner and a cutter for cutting the trim material. A pair of rollers can be attached to a ferris wheel assembly to be swung into position for interior or exterior corners. The interior roller can resemble a pizza knife, and the exterior roller can be cylindrical of varying diameter shaped like two intersecting cones.
