A package for delivering a cleaning solution to a surface to be cleaned includes a sealed packet having a cleaning solution therein with at least a portion of an outer lower surface thereof having at least one weakened, frangible area that is adapted to rupture when a predetermined pressure is applied to an upper surface of the packet. The cleaning solution in the packet can be discharged through the frangible areas when the packet is positioned on a surface and the predetermined pressure is applied to the packet to rupture the packet.

A package for delivering a cleaning solution to a surface to be cleaned comprises a housing, a pocket in the housing having at least one piercing projection extending into the pocket and a passageway between the pocket and the surface to be cleaned beneath the housing. A sealed packet containing a cleaning solution can be configured to fit into the pocket and can have at least a portion of an outer surface thereof adapted to be pierced by the at least one piercing projection when the packet is placed in the pocket. The cleaning solution can be discharged from the packet when the packet is positioned in the pocket and the packet is pierced by the at least one piercing projection. The cleaning solution can then be dispensed through the passageway onto a surface to be cleaned.

An accessory tool according to the present invention comprises a recovery tank assembly for removing fluid and dirt from a surface to the cleaned and storing the recovered fluid and dirt. The recovery tank assembly comprises a suction nozzle in fluid communication with a recovery tank. The accessory tool further comprises a fan/turbine assembly including a turbine-driven suction fan for generating suction at the suction nozzle, which draws liquid and air into and through the accessory tool. The turbine-driven suction fan can be magnetically coupled with the turbine. The accessory tool can further comprise a fluid dispensing assembly for storing and distributing fluid to the surface to the cleaned. The fluid dispensing assembly can comprise a turbine-driven fluid pump. The accessory tool can further comprise an agitator assembly that can be moved from a use to a non-use orientation to allow the accessory tool to alternately be used for scrubbing the surface to the cleaned and for extracting fluid from the surface to be cleaned. The recovery tank can further comprise a rotating outlet conduit with an inlet opening that will have an upward orientation when the recovery tank is tilted.

A handheld vacuum cleaner according to the invention comprises a housing, a dirt cup, a latch coupled between the dirt cup and the housing for selectively joining the dirt cup to the housing, a filter positioned in the dirt cup between the inlet and the outlet, and a plurality of different nozzle assemblies, each having at least one nozzle opening and each having an outlet opening at a back end thereof that is removable coupled to the dirt cup front end.
