There are provided systems and methods for automatic synchronization of a device for transaction processing based on geo-fenced locations. A merchant may geo-fence an area corresponding to the merchant's location where a user may visit to purchase an item. The merchant may provide multiple transaction processing and payment options at the merchant location, including payment applications with a mobile communication device. A payment provider may detect the location of the user and determine that the user's location matches the merchant's location through the geo-fenced area for the merchant. The payment provider may then configure a payment process for the user to utilize at the merchant location using payment mechanisms accepted at the merchant location. Where multiple merchants are located nearby, the payment provider may utilize additional known information for the user to select the most likely merchant for the user.

Automatic synchronization of a device for transaction processing based on geo-fenced locations

Methods and systems for fault tolerant token based transactions are described. A user may perform a transaction with a mobile device. The mobile device may be in an offline mode or may be lacking a network connection to servers or cloud devices of a mobile payment system. The transaction may be processed through a transaction device, which may aid in the sending and receiving of transaction data while the mobile device is in the offline mode. The transaction device may communicate with the server or cloud device and the server or cloud device may process the transaction and communicate with the transaction device, which may forward data from the server or cloud device to the mobile device.

Fault tolerant token based transaction systems

Various systems, mediums, and methods may involve a bridge configured to communicate with a number of sites, such as fuel sites and/or restaurant sites. For example, a system may determine a mobile device is associated with a given fuel site, possibly located at the given fuel site, among a number of other fuel sites. Further, the system may determine one or more connections of the bridge that may be configured to communicate with a site component of the fuel site. As such, the system may transmit fuel data to the mobile device based on the one or more connections with the site component. Thus, the mobile device may display an indication of fuel available at the fuel site.

There are provided systems and methods for intelligent selection of transaction processing technology available at a merchant location. A user may visit a merchant location and desire to purchase items from the merchant at the merchant location. The user may have options for one or more payment instruments to use at the merchant location, including payment applications with a mobile communication device. Intelligent selection of transaction processing technology available at a merchant location

Methods and systems for sending marketing messages to mobile-device users from a mobile-commerce platform are described. In various illustrative embodiments, a marketing message is transmitted to a mobile-device user before, during, or after a transaction between the mobile-device user's mobile device and the mobile-commerce platform. The marketing message can be generated and timed based on rules input to the mobile-commerce platform by a merchant and can be based on historical transaction data associated with the mobile-device user, transaction parameters associated with a current or a most-recently-completed transaction involving the mobile-device user, a transaction type of a current or a most-recently-completed transaction involving the mobile-device user, or a combination thereof, depending on the particular embodiment.

Method and system for sending marketing messages to mobile-device users from a mobile-commerce platform

A system and method for distributing incentives via mobile devices is described. One embodiment, a computer-server-based method, receives a request from a merchant to generate an incentive which incentive is funded and initiated by the merchant, receives the incentive, associates the incentive with a recipient's phone number, and transmits a notification of the incentive to a mobile device associated with the recipient's phone number, the computer server acting as a server-side wallet for the incentive, the incentive being usable, through interaction with the computer server, by the recipient for the purchase of goods or services from the merchant associated with the incentive.

System and method for distributing mobile compensation and incentives

A method and system for routing transactions to a mobile-commerce platform is described. One illustrative embodiment receives, via a network, a purchase request from a user's mobile communication device; authenticates the user to the mobile-commerce platform; generates a one-time-use perishable transaction code associated with the purchase request; prefixes to the transaction code an Issuer Identification Number (IIN) corresponding to the mobile-commerce platform to form a combined number; returns the combined number to the user's mobile communication device via the network to enable the user to provide the combined number to a merchant's point-of-sale system in connection with a transaction corresponding to the purchase request; and receives, via a payment network in communication with the merchant's point-of-sale system, the transaction code and transaction details associated with the transaction, the IIN informing the payment network to route the one-time-use perishable transaction code and the transaction details to the mobile-commerce platform.

A system and method for re-distributing and transferring mobile gift cards is described. One embodiment, a computer-server-based method, receives a selection of a particular mobile gift card belonging to the first user; receives a request to transfer a specified monetary amount from a balance of the particular mobile gift card to a second user; receives a phone number of the second user; associates, with the second user's phone number, a separate mobile gift card having an associated balance equal to the specified monetary amount; and transmits a notification of the separate mobile gift card to a mobile device associated with the second user's phone number; the computer server acting as a server-side wallet for the separate mobile gift card, and the separate mobile gift card being usable, through interaction with the computer server, by the second user for the purchase of goods from the particular merchant.

One embodiment, a computer-server-based method, receives a selection of a merchant with which to associate a mobile gift card, receives an indication of a monetary amount for the mobile gift card, receives an electronic payment for the monetary amount, applies the monetary amount to the mobile gift card, associates the mobile gift card with a recipient's phone number, and transmits a notification of the mobile gift card to a mobile device associated with the recipient's phone number, the computer server acting as a server-side wallet for the mobile gift card, the mobile gift card being usable, through interaction with the computer server, by the recipient for the purchase of goods from the merchant associated with the mobile gift card.

System and method for distributing mobile gift cards

A method and system for merging mobile gift cards is described. One embodiment transmits to a mobile device associated with a user a list of a plurality of mobile gift cards associated with a particular merchant that belong to the user, receives from the user via the mobile device a selection of a particular mobile gift card, receives from the user via the mobile device a selection of one or more other mobile gift cards associated with the particular merchant to be merged with the particular mobile gift card, and moves to the particular mobile gift card the remaining monetary balance of each of the other mobile gift cards selected by the user. In some embodiments, the merging operation is automated in the mobile-commerce platform.
