In one embodiment, the present disclosure is directed to a bathroom mirror lighting system comprising a mirror, a light source, a sensor, and a control circuit operably coupled to the light source and the sensor. The control circuit receives a sensor signal from the sensor indicative of at least one of a user's distance from the sensor, a user's position, a user's posture, a motion of the user towards or away from the sensor, or a task being performed by the user. The control circuit then transmits a control signal to the light source causing the light source to alter its light output based on the sensor signal from the sensor.

Mirror and cabinet apparatus

Cabinet

The present invention is directed to improvements in mirror apparatus. In one embodiment, a lighted mirror apparatus is disclosed that comprises a mirror with first and second light assemblies positioned along opposing first and second sides of the mirror, each transmitting light to the center plane along a primary light path. In another embodiment, a lighted mirror apparatus is disclosed that comprises a mirror and a light assembly having a light source mounted to the mirror, the light assembly includes an illumination element that receives light from the light source and emits at least a portion of that light from its front light emitting surface. In a further embodiment, a cabinet apparatus is disclosed having a door that can be raised or lowered and altered between open and closed angular orientations when raised or lowered.

Medicine cabinet

A medicine cabinet includes a side panel, a door, and a hinge. The side panel includes a notch on an edge of the side panel. The door includes a projection extending outwardly from an inner surface of the door. The hinge pivotally couples the door to the side panel. The hinge includes a first portion coupled to the projection and a second portion coupled to the side panel. The projection and the first portion are received in the notch when the door is in a closed position.

A toilet seat assembly that includes a docking station comprising a body and an electrical contact coupled to the body; a hinge lock configured to couple the body to a toilet base, the hinge lock comprising a fastener engaging an opening in the body and having a bore; a hinge body coupled to the body, such that an electrical contact of the hinge body is electrically connected to the electrical contact of the docking station; a seat and/or a lid rotatably coupled to the hinge; and an electronic component housed on/in the hinge body, the seat, and/or the lid, where the electronic component is electrically connected to the electrical contact of the hinge body and is configured to receive electric power from an electrical wire configured to route through the bore in the fastener to electrically connect to the electrical contact of the docking station.

Toilet seat and hinge

A cabinet includes a box with a backboard, a top panel, a bottom panel, and two side panels joining the top and bottom panels. The cabinet further includes shelves configured to be inserted within the box between one pair of clips, each clip having an undulation that mates with a corresponding undulation on trim strips disposed on side panels. An accessory slides in a track of a cabinet door and is connected to the track with a bow clip. The cabinet includes a frame member with a projecting lip configured to extend over an edge of the box. The frame member has at least one stiffening support that connects to a bracket mounted against a wall, and the backboard connects to the bracket with a screw tab having a cover flap concealing a screw. The cabinet is configured to be mounted in a wall surface or a recess.
