Embodiments of the invention are related to medical devices filled with a liquid composition, amongst other things. In an embodiment, the invention includes a hermetically sealed housing defining an interior volume, a component module disposed within the interior volume, the component module comprising a circuit board, the component module displacing a portion of the interior volume. A liquid composition can be disposed within the housing, the liquid composition filling at least 80% of the interior volume not displaced by the component module. Various implantable device embodiments may comprise a neural stimulator configured to deliver a neurostimulation therapy to stimulate tissue. A prescribed dose of the neurostimulation therapy relates to a therapeutically-effective and safe amount of charge delivered to the stimulated tissue over a period of time. The neural stimulator may include a power supply used to deliver the neurostimulation therapy, and a charge/current monitor configured to monitor a delivered dose of the neurostimulation therapy with respect to the prescribed dose to determine whether the delivered dose is delivering the therapeutically-effective and safe amount of charge to the stimulated tissue over the period of time.

Systems and methods for monitoring neurostimulation dosing

Various implantable device embodiments may comprise a neural stimulator configured to deliver a neurostimulation therapy with stimulation ON times and stimulation OFF times where a dose of the neurostimulation therapy is provided by a number of neurostimulation pulses over a period of time. The neural stimulator may be configured to monitor the dose of the delivered neurostimulation therapy against dosing parameters. The neural stimulator may be configured to declare a fault if the monitored dose does not favorably compare to a desired dose for the neurostimulation therapy, or may be configured to record data for the monitored dose of the delivered neurostimulation therapy, or may be configured to both record data fir the monitored dose of the delivered neurostimulation therapy and declare a fault if the monitored dose does not favorably compare to a desired dose for the neurostimulation therapy.

An apparatus comprises a cardiac signal sensing circuit configured to sense an electrical cardiac signal from at least one of an atrium or ventricle of a heart of a subject, a therapy circuit configured to provide electrical pacing therapy and electrical autonomic neural modulation therapy to the subject, and a control circuit. The control circuit is configured to initiate delivery of the autonomic modulation neural therapy, and the control circuit includes a signal detection circuit configured to detect delivery of the autonomic neural modulation therapy in the sensed cardiac signal. The control circuit is configured to change, in response to detecting the delivery, a sensitivity of the cardiac signal sensing circuit during delivery of the autonomic neural modulation therapy.

Managing cross therapy sensing in a multiple therapy implantable device

A medical device can include a therapy circuit configured to provide a specified electrostimulation therapy to a tissue site, the specified electrostimulation therapy including a scheduled completion, the therapy circuit including a protection circuit configured to adjust specification of the electrostimulation therapy being provided so as to provide an adjusted electrostimulation therapy before the scheduled completion. The medical device can include a monitoring circuit comprising a comparator. The monitoring circuit can be configured to trigger the protection circuit to inhibit the therapy circuit when the therapy circuit output parameter exceeds the specified threshold as indicated by the comparator.

Therapy circuit protection for implantable medical device

An implantable medical device comprising a plurality of implantable electrodes to sense the electrical activity and an implantable medical device coupled to the electrodes. The implantable medical device includes a plurality of sense amplifiers in communication with the electrodes to produce analog electronic signals representative of the electrical activity and a programmable sampler. The implantable medical device also includes a controller that programmably enables the sampler to selectively sample the electronic signals. The controller also includes memory in communication with the controller for storage of the sample values. The controller configures the memory based on the programmable sampling.
