A method for aquaculture including a fastener that allows for a float to be easily detached from and securely reattached to an aquaculture cage. The method provides multiple toolless approaches to submerse an aquaculture cage that is buoyant in water when attached with a fastener to a hollow float defining a volume filled with air. The method includes in a first approach, detaching the hollow float from the aquaculture cage by releasing the fastener without using a tool to allow the cage to sink in the water and in a second approach, with the hollow float attached to the aquaculture cage, at least partially filling the float with fluid to fully submerse both the cage and the hollow float beneath a surface of the water.

Method for aquaculture

Methods, systems and apparatus for automated extraction, purification, and processing of nucleic acids from biological samples are presented. In some embodiments, hydrogel supports are used to immobilize particulate biological input samples and extract nucleic acids during operations. The use of hydrogel facilitates automated sample processing on robotic liquid handling systems. Devices, methods, and systems are also provided for electrophoretic sample preparation.

Plastic container (), including a side wall () and a flexible portion () of a base (). The flexible portion of the base deflects when the sealed plastic container experiences a differential pressure. The deflection of the flexible portion of the base acts to change the internal volume of the container and thereby reduce the differential pressure. The container is a retortable container. The container may be injection-molded with inner and outer plastic layers () and a core layer () between the inner and outer plastic layers.

The invention provides an electrophoresis cassette, methods for making the electrophoresis cassette, and method of fractionating analytes from a sample based upon electrophoretic mobility in a single application of the sample to an electrophoretic system.

Multichannel preparative electrophoresis system

A game stick and game are disclosed. The game stick includes a shaft with a head at one end. A channel wide enough for a game ball is defined in the head. The ball is placed in the channel and when the game stick is swung, the ball rides along the channel and is released therefrom to fly through the air. The head may be adjustable to affect the way in which the ball is thrown. The game is similar to golf except that instead of hitting the ball, the ball is thrown toward a target location at the end of a fairway. When the target location is reached, the game stick may be used as a putter to push or putt the ball to sink it into a sunken cup in the ground.
