A near-patient humidification system provides vapor to a respiratory breathing circuit. The system includes an expiratory gas conduit and an inspiratory gas conduit. A patient coupling member is provided for coupling the expiratory and inspiratory gas conduits to a patient interface. A vapor injection unit is located at least partially within the housing of the patient coupling member. The vapor injection unit heats a supply of fluid into vapor and injects the vapor into the inspiratory gas passage of the patient coupling member at a vapor injection location for providing moisture to the inspiratory gas flow. A method of simultaneously and independently controlling the temperature and humidity of inspiratory gas in a respiratory breathing circuit is performed by injecting vapor having a temperature determined as a function of measured temperatures and measured humidities of the breathing gas at different locations along the breathing circuit.

System and method for on-demand near-patient humidification

An endotracheal tube holder device is provided for securely holding an endotracheal tube to a patient during intubation. The tube holder device includes a support rail placed above a lip of a patient. An auxiliary clip is coupled to the support rail and slidably movable along the length of the support rail for holding an accessory device relative to the patients face. The auxiliary clip includes both a horizontal accessory clip and a vertical accessory clip to releasably retain the accessory device horizontally and vertically, respectively. A tube fastener is coupled to the support rail and includes a tube holder base, an adjustment clip coupled to the tube bolder base for laterally repositioning the tube holder base along the support rail, and a securement tie. The securement tie may be wrapped around a portion of the endotracheal tube to secure the tube to the tube holder base.

Endotracheal tube holder device

An endotracheal tube holder device is provided for securely holding an endotracheal tube to a patient during intubation. The tube holder device includes a support rail placed above a lip of a patient. An auxiliary clip is coupled to the support rail and slidably movable along the length of the support rail for holding an accessory device relative to the patient's face. The auxiliary clip includes both a horizontal accessory holder and a vertical accessory holder to releasably retain the accessory device horizontally and vertically, respectively. A tube fastener is coupled to the support rail and includes a tube holder base, an adjustment clip coupled to the tube bolder base for laterally repositioning the tube holder base along the support rail, and a securement tie. The securement tie may be wrapped around a portion of the endotracheal tube to secure the tube to the tube holder base.

The present disclosure relates to a device for holding an endotracheal tube. The device includes a rail having opposite ends and a plurality of grooves at least partially along the length of the rail between the opposite ends. The device also includes a tube holder coupled to and slidable relative to the rail between the opposite ends. The tube holder includes at least one lever arm partially received with the grooves of the rail to allow lateral repositioning of the tube holder relative to the rail, a tie having a slit and a plurality of teeth, a base extending away from a patient relative to the at least one lever arm, and a tab extending laterally from the tube holder with the tab configured to be received within the slit of the tie. The base includes a pawl configured to engage at least one of teeth of the tie.

A humidification device for a respiratory breathing circuit comprises an induction heater assembly to inject steam into a breathing circuit gas line. The assembly comprises a housing defining a housing lumen. An induction element is located around the housing lumen. A cannula is disposed within the housing lumen and surrounded by the induction element, the cannula being configured to receive a flow of water. A heating element is located inside the cannula, the heating element being at least partially surrounded by the induction element. The induction element is excited by electrical current to generate an oscillating magnetic field to create eddy currents in the heating element to heat the heating element, and thereby heat the flow of water in the cannula flowing past the heating element, to thereby vaporize the water into steam which exits the induction heater assembly and housing to be injected into the breathing circuit gas line.

Humidification device

A breathing circuit includes a flexible hollow tube having a generally circular cross section and a flexible printed circuit board assembly disposed in the flexible hollow tube. The flexible printed circuit board assembly defines part of at least one inspiratory passage within the flexible hollow tube and part of at least one expiratory passage within the flexible hollow tube. The flexible printed circuit board assembly is configured to heat airflow within one or more of the at least one inspiratory passage and the at least one expiratory passage, and monitor a first property of the airflow within one or more of the at least one inspiratory passage and the at least one expiratory passage at multiple locations along the axial length of the flexible hollow tube.

Multi-lumen breathing circuit including a flexible printed circuit board assembly

Methods are disclosed, for performing therapeutic or diagnostic procedures at a remote site. According to one embodiment, the methods include the use of a system including an introducer designed for transcervical insertion into the uterus. The introducer is constructed to include a fluid lumen, an instrument lumen, and a visualization lumen. The system may include a fluid source, which is coupled to the fluid lumen and is used to deliver a fluid to the uterus either for washing the uterus or for fluid distension of the uterus. The system additionally includes a tissue modifying device, such as a morcellator, and a distension device for distending the uterus and/or for maintaining the uterus in a distended state. The tissue modifying device and the distension device are alternately deliverable to the uterus through the instrument lumen. The system may further include a hysteroscope deliverable to the uterus through the visualization lumen.
