A breast support platform for an x-ray imaging system includes a housing having a compression plate and a front wall, and a heating system disposed at least partially within the housing. The heating system is configured to heat at least a portion of the compression plate, at least a portion of the front wall, or at least a portion of the compression plate and the front wall. In an example, the heating system includes a transparent conducting film coupled to an inner surface of the housing. In another example, the heating system includes a blower disposed at least partially within the housing, and the blower is configured to channel hot air across an inner surface of the housing.

This unique and novel exemplary embodiment of a high-volume diaphragm securement apparatus is related to a device for securing high-volume diaphragms that vary in size above the pressure chamber of a high-volume double diaphragm pump. The exemplary embodiment is comprised of a pair of pressure chambers, each providing an enlarged upper wall section, and a pair of corresponding geometrically adaptive retainer plates. Each retainer plate provides the ability to be customized with one or more notches such that they each can be installed on a variety of diaphragm pumps.

This unique and novel invention is related to supporting an engine on a high-volume double diaphragm pump such that the engine mounting apparatus may be integrally attached directly to the fuel tank of the high-volume double diaphragm pump. Such a connection is successfully achieved with cleverly providing a table shaped engine mount to strategically mitigate the transmission of vibration generated by the engine.

This invention is an eccentric pushrod cover device for high-volume double diaphragm pumps which provides protection of the operator from the pushrod during the operation of the pump. The eccentric pushrod cover device is comprised of a mounting plate, top plate, and face plate that are modularly assembled. The modular construction of the eccentric pushrod cover device allows for the device to be retrofitted onto existing pumps and allows for quick access to the pushrod for intermittent maintenance. It is anticipated that the elliptical slotted cutouts could vary in size and orientation.

This invention is a high-volume large diaphragm which provides a pair of support sections specially configured to withstand the stresses implemented by an eccentrically actuated pushrod diaphragm pump. The pair of support sections is comprised of an interior support section and an exterior support section that are vertically offset relative to each other's placement on the wall of the high-volume large diaphragm. It is additionally anticipated that more than one pair of offset interior and exterior support sections can be provided on high-volume large diaphragms with significantly greater wall height.

In association with an imaging device which generates a portion of an image from a plurality of channels within a first row by sampling each channel during a sampling time corresponding to the channel, circuitry offsets sampling times of at least first and second channels within the first row, thereby reducing noise correlation between the first and second channels in the first row. Pixel sampling times may be defined by start times of the channels within a row, end times or both. Offsetting may be accomplished using a predetermined set of sampling time values or by randomizing sampling time values. Offsetting pixel sampling times of channels within a row relative to each other decorrelates channel sampling because different phases of the noise signal are sampled on each channel, effectively blurring or dithering the channel noise within each row. Random sampling within the channel, such as by varying a channel sampling time between rows, further dithers the noise within each channel. Undesirable correlated noise effects are reduced as a result.

A reinforced high-volume elastomeric pump diaphragm features several concentric circumferential reinforcing ribs (areas of increased thickness) integrally formed in the angled wall. Two ribs extend from the exterior to the interior. One rib, nearest the rim of the diaphragm, extends only to the exterior. This particular arrangement of ribs reduces rolling and appreciably improves performance by prolonging the useful life of the diaphragm.

A double diaphragm pump for moving large volumes of water that may be laden with debris includes a pair of fourteen-inch diameter elastomeric diaphragms, driven by reciprocating push rods pivotally coupled to opposed eccentrics. An engine drives a gearbox having two outputs. One eccentric is attached to each output. A pair of weighted flap valves control flow to and from each diaphragm chamber. A vacuum pressure gauge monitors inlet pressure. A relief valve relieves vacuum pressure in the event of a blockage or other flow impediment.

Machining apparatus for machining a workpiece with a work-performing tool comprising a frame on which a tool carrier is mounted for reciprocal movement toward and away from the workpiece and a feed unit for moving the tool carrier between a partially retracted position and a fully retracted tool change position and for moving the tool carrier from the partially retracted position reciprocally through a machining stroke to machine a workpiece. The feed unit includes a drive transmitting assembly which is reciprocally mounted on the frame and which comprises extensible and contractible means connected to the tool carrier. A first drive means reciprocates the drive assembly while the extensible and contractible means remains fixed so as to move the tool carrier reciprocally through a machining stroke and a second drive means actuates extensible and contractible means to move the tool carrier between its partially and fully retracted positions.

In transfer apparatus for advancing work-supporting pallets from one work station to a successive work station, a locating and clamping mechanism for precisely positioning a pallet at each work station and securing the pallet thereat so that an operation can be performed on work that is supported on the pallet. The locating and clamping mechanism consists of a plurality of lift-pin members, driven by an actuator assembly, and movable up and down into engagement with the underside of the pallet at the work station. At least one of the lift-pin members has a tapered head that is received in a correspondingly-tapered opening in the pallet so as to horizontally orient the pallet. Stop means overlie the pallet at the work station so as to be engaged by the pallet upon its upward movement by the lift-pin members to clamp the pallet at a predetermined position where the work performing operation can be carried out.
