A work space system including a plurality of work areas. A work area includes a spine wall, a first wall adjacent to the spine wall and extending from the spine wall, and a second wall adjacent to the first wall and including an entrance to the work area. The height of the second wall is greater than the height of the first wall, and the height of the first wall is greater than the height of the spine wall.

A chair includes a base having a control assembly operably supporting a seat assembly and also a back assembly for movement about a seat tilt axis and a back tilt axis, respectively. The back assembly includes a flexible sheet supported at upper/outer corners by a back support structure and hanging downwardly. The flexible sheet includes a lower portion coupled to the back support structure by a tensioner for holding the lower portion rearwardly. A vertically-adjustable lumbar mechanism is adjustably supported on the back support structure and operably engages the flexible sheet for flexing a lumbar area of the flexible sheet forwardly to provide an optimal ergonomic horizontal and vertical convex shape for postural lumbar support.

A chair includes a base having a control assembly operably supporting a seat assembly and also a back assembly for movement about a seat tilt axis and a back tilt axis, respectively. The back assembly includes a flexible sheet supported at upper/outer corners by a back support structure and hanging downwardly. The flexible sheet includes a lower portion coupled to the back support structure by a tensioner for holding the lower portion rearwardly. A vertically-adjustable lumbar mechanism is adjustably supported on the back support structure and operably engages the flexible sheet for biasing an intermediate portion of the flexible sheet forwardly to both form the intermediate portion into a forwardly convex shape for postural lumbar support and also to tension the flexible sheet.

A chair includes a base having a control, and a seat and a back tilt bracket pivoted to the control for synchronous movement. An extension is adjustably supported on the back tilt bracket and is pivotally connected to a back support structure and a backrest frame in a four-bar linkage arrangement. The extension is adjustable to change the angular position of the back when in the rest position, and further provides a back tilt axis that is located rearward of a rear edge of the seat, which provides a unique back movement upon recline that is more rearward and less downward than most synchrotilt chairs. The back support structure includes a spine assembly pivoted to a rear end of the extension and extends upwardly. Armrests are operably supported on the spine assembly for vertical adjustment by an armrest mount, and a handle on the armrests is operably connected to a latch on the armrest mount for easy adjustment of the armrests. The arrangement of the backrest frame, the spine assembly, the back tilt bracket and the seat with side supports provides a unique synchronous movement that, among other things, pivots the armrests at an angular rate between a rate of the seat and the back during recline of the back. The back includes a flexible back shell having a lumbar section, a lumbar slide slidably engaging a rear surface of the back shell and operably supported thereagainst for changing a vertical shape of the lumbar section, and lumbar side arms engaging a rear surface of the back shell and also operably supported thereagainst for changing a horizontal shape of the lumbar section. A method related to the above is also contemplated.

An adjustable chair, particularly for the use of attendees at meetings, is disclosed in which a gas cylinder is operatively connected between the underside of the chair seat and a lower cross-member to afford the user control of the lift and tilt of the chair over a range of positions.

A fold out display is particularly adapted to support a wide variety of different types of group work activities, team projects, and the like, and includes a free standing base which fixedly supports a primary panel having an exterior display surface. At least one foldable panel is hingedly supported on the primary panel for movement between a closed folded position overlying the primary panel, and an open unfolded position protruding outwardly coplanar with the primary panel. The foldable panel includes at least an interior display surface which overlies the display surface of the primary panel when in the closed folded position. A one-piece living hinge has opposite side portions connected with the side edges of the primary and foldable panels, and is shaped such that when the foldable panel is shifted into the open unfolded position, the two display surfaces are juxtaposed in a substantially contiguous relationship to collectively provide an enlarged generally continuous and uninterrupted display. A fold out header panel assembly may be provided above the primary panels, and a pair of telescoping outstops help retain the folding panels in their open unfolded position.

A mobile table system is provided in which multiple tables can be juxtaposed in many different configurations to facilitate a wide variety of both group and individual activities. Each table has a top with oppositely oriented side edges shaped to abut flush with the side edges of like tables, an outer marginal edge configured to accommodate a user thereby, and an inner marginal edge with a generally concave shape which defines a central space when aligned with the inner marginal edges of like tables. Each table includes legs to support the same freestanding on a floor surface. A first one of the legs depends from the top adjacent the outer marginal edge thereof and has a foot at the lower end thereof, and a second one of the leg depends from the top adjacent the inner marginal edge thereof and has a roller at the lower end thereof, so as to permit manual translation of the tables across the floor surface in a wheelbarrow fashion. A latch arrangement may be provided to detachably interconnect like tables in a manner which enables the same to be readily pulled apart.
